Location was incredible, well appointed and comfortable, set back into the side of the mountain overlooking the beautiful valley. The Loft is very spacious and comfortable. Absolutely loved popping into the Tasting Shed for a complimentary wine tasting. Access to beautiful walks and hikes.

I didn’t mind the stairs ( good exercise!), but be aware that there are two sections of fairly steep stairs to access the apartment from the parking area.

Was located in an incredibly beautiful winery. The dogs on the property were absolutely amazing... so friendly and docile. The views from the free wine tasting were also memorable. Would absolutely stay again.

Stunning location. Lovely tasting room where we could sit outside and take in the view or inside next to the fireplace. We also enjoyed the beautiful trails on the farm.

We loved the 2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom cottage at Bartinney. Excellent location for the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine farms. The complimentary wine tasting was great. Stayed for 3 nights over Xmas. Loved the walks around the estate and the peaceful location. Cottage was very tastefully presented.

A word of advice for guests and the establishment. There is a big set of 25 steps from the car park but if you drive a little up and to the side you can go through a gate and walk directly to the cottage to offload. For us we would have liked a 2 bedroom ensuite but we managed with the one bathroom being family. We expected an inverter (for when SA has load shedding) and no power, and that possibly was the biggest negative as well as the fact that the cooker was also electric and we did not have an electric hob to cook. Things the establishment needs to look at going forward as most establishments these days use an inverter to accommodate the TV, Wifi and a few lights and some sort of gas cooker. Hopefully constructive criticism as we loved the Wine estate and definitely would like to return.

Beautiful, characterful cottage on a gorgeous wine farm in the Banhoek valley. Outside braai area with plenty of firewood and a sitting area under the trees.
