I appreciated the attentive and friendly staff, the unexpected welcome drink, the morning’s freshly baked breads, eggs, and coffee, the room’s view of the village - getting to sleep with the windows open and fresh air in the room, and the abundance of additional toilettes, seating areas throughout the hotel and its restaurant, and picnic spaces under the covered patio, We also enjoyed the unique furniture, artwork, and family-focused business from 4+ generations of collectors.

My husband is 6’5”, and we asked for a bed without a footboard or sloped roof; unfortunately, we were put in a room with a bed with footboard and a dormer windows. I took the dormer side and at 5’6” hit my head the last morning. The bathroom was almost entirely clean, but there was mold around the inside of the shower door - most visible when it is closed, some around the tile lines, and the venting fan did not turn on or provide airflow during our stay.

Very friendly staff who was very helpful in making suggestions for exploring the area. Comfortable room with a great view. Excellent breakfast. Would happily stay there again.

Early 20th century charmer. Lots of private salons and library of travel books. Good quality meals in the dining room. Friendly staff. Fairly steep climb from the train station..like every other property in Wengen.

Too few power outlets in room. Rustic bedsteads a bit amall..I'm 5'9".

property is very basic and owners are stingy, we didn’t find the basic facilities that supposed to be in any hotel like shampoo, electric converter, fridge, iron, kettle and money locker. i tried to call the reception in different 3 times with no luck to answer. we fed up with their breakfast which is repetitive daily without even small change in one of dishes. we did’t feel the hospitality in hotel and not recommend it to anyone. sorry for selection such hotel

historic we understand but lift , door and furniture are very old can hear anyone walking for sure need maintenance

The view was nice. The room was quiet and clean. Very nice location to go to Jungfrau.

The breakfast buffet was already empty when we arrived and there was no refill for anything. This was very unpleasant. The room is pretty small.
