Lovely hotel facing the snowcapped mountain and the greenery hill with mountain peak background. Plenty of on-site parking spaces. Staff are very friendly. The hotel is well maintained, has lift and Michelin star restaurant. Our room has balcony and a bench to enjoy the beautiful view. Room is spotless. Towels have no musty smell. Bedding is clean. Bed is comfortable, we have a good sleep. Good breakfast. Exceptional dinner. We will return in our next Switzerland visit.

The best location for Swiss alpine vacation and hiking! Convenient parking place for free and easy access to many different locations in this region. Awesome restaurant for the best Swiss Appenzell cuisine, the service was outstanding with great hospitality, felt welcome at all the time! Stay minimal three days, you get several major cable car free pass , free train ride and total of 29 different free pass and vultures for the local attractions!! We enjoy every each one of them ! This hotel was like home to us and will be our Swiss alpine home for many years to come !

What a wonderful gem to stay at when visiting the Appenzell region! The room was ooo so cozy, the dinner was delicious, and the view of the church from our room was magical! Breakfast was your typical European breakfast, but was served with a warm and welcoming smile. Highly recommend!
