Perfect location for my 2 day stay. Easy access to the fells and lakes around Ambleside. The perfect base with local amenities available on the doorstep. It was a pity I couldn’t stay for breakfast as I had an early start for a 27 mile hike across High Street.

Nothing at this price.

The location, also be greeted by the owner who was very friendly, kind and helpful. Definitely want to return here.

We stayed in an annexe room away from the main building (5 yards away) which was a nice quite way to spend our time. Rosa, who looked after our check in and visit was very helpful and friendly and advised us of things and places to visit. The location is right on the main road into Ambleside, a 2 minute walk to pubs and restaurants (of which there are many). Easy 10 minute walk to the lakeside pier for ferries on Lake Windermere.

The owner of the property was super helpful and kind! Very quiet place, perfect for switching your brain off!! Would go back for sure! So many things to see nearby, caves 5 mind river, mountains 15-20 minutes drive! Brilliant place.

Nothing flash but extremely comfortable. Cant beat the location in the heart of the village. Staying with the dog and staying in the converted out house was so very practical to let him out for toilet breaks. Room was very warm and comfortable. Second time we've stayed. Comes with parking if you need it.

We stayed for 4 nights, a fridge would be helpful in that situation. You can't get the kettle under the sink, please provide a jug. Btw neither of the above made me enjoy my stay any less. See you next time!

Really well located

It was a fairly small room, but we were out and about so it was ideal and great value.

The lodge was really lovely. very clean, a very comfy bed and everything you need for a few days away in Ambleside. We were in one of the dog friendly rooms which was in an annex at the back of the lodge and just perfect for having a dog as we didn’t need to traipse through the B&B when we needed to let the dog out. The location is perfect for the town centre and has free parking. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again
