All was amazing

It was so far to downtown, but the place is beautiful

Beautiful inn, located in a remnant area of ​​Atlantic Forest in Serra do Tiririca, in the district of Itaipuaçu, municipality of Maricá. We were very well received by the manager Kelly, who gave us an upgrade to a suite with a view of the sea. Very good accommodation, very tasty breakfast, the house staff in general was very welcoming. Special mention should be made of the Cantarel Restaurant, which is integrated into the inn, with top-notch cuisine in a simple and relaxed atmosphere.

A negative aspect is the lack of a proper garage for guests. In addition, the access gate to the inn, closed only with a padlock and manual opening, concerns about security. We believe that the installation of an electronic gate, with remote control, could solve this problem.

The pousada is run by the family, that is, the Dutchman himself, his wife, and some hired help. The breakfast was homemade, such as the freshly squeezed juice, scrambled eggs,home-baked bread and orange cake. It was delicious, we loved it.

We thought the breakfast could start being served earlier, for we are hikers and wanted to leave the pousada early in the morning to hike, but it was not possible, because breakfast started only at 8;30.

Cozy breakfast area, nice to speak with friendly staff and other guests. Very good cakes and fruit. Fresh bread.

An amazing Pousada! Exceeds expectations. Stayed there couple of years ago and was very pleased with the place back then. Now the rooms have been refurbished which makes it even better :) The food at the restaurant is very very very good! The lovely family who runs the Pousada makes you feel like at home :) Will definitely stay there again whenever we’re in the area.

Can’t say a bad word about that place.
