The hotel was lovely, beautiful rooms, great breakfast. Food in the lobby bar, and Thai resto were delicious. Only complaint could be it took a while for food to come. Pools were nice as well, wished the slides were working properly. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Only improvement to the gardens is to be put in more lights for the paths as the back part of the garden was completely dark when we went for walk after dinner. Also it is a shame that the beach is not better suited for swimming or water sports.

. We didn't like the stuff in kids rooms and the stuff related to kids activities, no one of them really speaks English.

The facilities were excellent! The pools were huge and two of them were heated so we enjoyed it during the lower temperatures of late December. The food was delicious at the restaurant as we enjoyed the breakfast and the new years eve buffet. The room was spacious and had great facilities for my 5 year old daughter. The view was amazing from the room too. The activities for kids were a lifesaver as it kept them busy.

The service was outstanding from one particular person called Rony. However, a couple of times the room service order was muddled and we either received the wrong meal or the a few items missing. The spa massage that we went for could have been a lot better.

The pool , the poolside sliding matress , haitang bay , the management and the staff attitude, we felt we belong there. All little extra perks made it super good value !

The care and attention from staff is exemplary, with a special thank you to Eason who has helped us. We booked Sofitel after a horrific booking at Haomusi apartment in Atlantis Tangen. Eason helped us at 7pm when we were faced with a night and no where to stay. The rooms are spotless, we had the premium lounge and they even let us use it to watch the England games at 3am. We extended our stay by a week/ when we return it will be to the Sofitel. Thank you

The pools are beautiful. The rooms were very nice.

The service was not great. Every time we needed ice it took an hour. Breakfast started fine but became chaotic. It was hard to find anyone at the pool bar. It is good service for China.

Breakfast and dinner buffet is amazing. Great a la carte menu. Thai restaurant is really good as well. Chinese Noddle Restaurant is super tasty. Really nice and friendly service. Lots of different choices to eat. Not far from Sofitel there is a food mall with a fish market and lots of different restaurants. Great staff and compared to other resorts in Sanya a lot of english speaking staff. Really lovely interacting with children. Beautiful pool areas. Beach is okay but not as nice as Yalong bay. The entire place is way more quiet than any resort at Yalong bay. Our son had an accident at the pool and needed to go to hospital. A really nice staff member joined us to go to the hospital to help out with anything. We really felt great supported the entire time.

Nothing. We would give 10 points if the beach wouldn´t be as it is. As we stayed already here before, we knew what we expect. That´s why we haven´t been dissapointed by the beach. We had our fun walking at the beach and playing in the sand. You can´t really swim there as Hotel guard will call you back.

The room was nice and spacious with a comfortable bed. Very nice and well stocked breakfast. The pool was large with a separate play area for the kids. The staff was very friendly and made an effort to assist us in every way.

The pool could use some maintenance to fix loose tiles. The kids club is not well managed and was mostly disappointing. As other people have mentioned in their reviews there is a helicopter on the lawn behind the pool which does sightseeing trips, taking off and landing every 10 minutes on a busy day, although it did not bother us as much it is something to keep in mind.

Constant noise pollution at the pool caused by starting and landing helicopters for sightseeing flights. Personally a big minus for us.
