This property is perched on the side of a secluded hill with nice views and landscaping. Rooms are clean and spacious and well-equipped and there is communal access to generous kitchen facilities. Service was friendly.

Signs for food purchases and rules are not bilingual, which is inconvenient for the foreign traveller. However, our major issue with Hillside Plot Inn was its archaic payment options. If it expects to benefit from the Taiwanese Government’s objective of attracting greater diversify of foreign travellers, it must understand that, for security reasons, Western travellers rarely travel with wads of cash in their pockets and, as such, expect merchants and hoteliers to provide payment options using an international credit card. We booked through booking.com and had to pay a deposit using a credit card and yet when we arrived, ready to pay the balance using the same method, they refused our credit card. For Hillside to still maintain a cash-only policy in 2020 is not only outdated and short-sighted, it’s very inconvenient and frustrating for the global traveller.

Beautifully decorated, every corner is instagramable, there’s a nice kid play corner at the breakfast place.

location is up a hill and not as easy to locate.

Owner is kind and friendly. Breakfast is fantastic. Love the environment with greenery.
