We needed a base to see relatives over Christmas and new year and this was perfect, enjoyed the woods and house was well kitted out to let us cook and spend time as a family with 3 adult children. Especially grateful the heating worked well!
Stonehaven is a touch dark in winter , not much can be done about that though scenery is stunning if a little wet and cold.

It was our second time to stay in this cottage and hopefully not our last. It's very comfortable, cosy, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A great place to stay for visiting the area but also for just relaxing "at home".

Amazing location near the castle and right by the woods. The house has a home from home feel and has everything needed for a family. The area is so peaceful and quiet. We had a lovely time for a short holiday away from the city.
One of the single beds with a really soft mattress while the other ones were just right.

Nice little cottage for a short break to discover the Aberdeenshire coast and only an hours drive from places like Balmoral. Clean and comfortable, I think 3 star is the correct rating. Good communication with owner before stay.
Couldn’t see any outdoor furniture, parking appears shared with neighbours and wasn’t clear who’s space were who’s.

Such a cozy cottage in a beautiful location. The lounge in particular was so comfortable and cozy. The WiFi has a good connection which I thought might not be the case because of the location. We didn’t want to leave.

The house was lovely and cozy, immaculately clean. Location was really nice and unique right in the middle of the woods but easy to drive in.
Neighbour was quite rude, insinuating that if I didn't move my car I'd get a dent in it.
