Very warm welcome from Dan. Hut was spotless and very cosy, had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for a weekend away and we look forward to visiting again.

Only thing was the water pressure in shower wasn't great.

There was cold water in the showers and it was cold in the house in the morning

Location was perfect, it was nice and quiet outside, lovely scenery, plates/glasses, cups and cutlery supplied along with towels also. The host was polite and welcoming and rushed straight over when i couldnt find the switch for the fire. Toilets and sinks were clean . even our dog bella was all smiles.

maybe a thicker quilt on the bed as the night time was very cold, Thank goodness for the electric fire though.

When there was an electrical issue with our pod/cabin they were straight up to help, and when it couldn't be fixed there was no issue with giving us one of the larger cabins, the issue was fixed very quickly

Kilkenny is a lovely old Irish town with a castle and on a river. From the campsite it's a decent walk into town either along the road or the more scenic way by the river. The wooden pod was fun to stay in, clean and warm enough for me in the beginning of October. It was a bit cheaper than other acomodation in Kilkenny which generally is quite a pricey place to stay.

Having no toilet, basin or shower in the pod means it's necessary to get dressed and head out to the nearby communal block for these facilities. The shower I tried there was freezing cold so not very welcoming. This was the only negative thing I could say about the experience, otherwise all good.

The "Barrel" was perfect. Private and fun. They had it well equipped with whatever you could need.

Everything about the camp is great, you may be sharing it with others but it offers the best privacy, very friendly and peaceful atmosphere the whole time I was there, hosts have it running perfect... Everything you need right where you want it, water, toilets, showers,electricity,heat,scenery,stars and most importantly comfort and privacy. Don't forget your a 15-20min walk from Kilkenny castle, the heart of the city... And when you leave, your back at the camp, taxis run all night and you can get there for between 6-10euro... If you decide to come home late... Which you will most likely. And the closest shop is a 5min walk, if even. I must stay here again. Well done to the hosts.👏
