The house is very comfortable and provides all necessary amenities; it is well maintained and surrounded by a beautiful garden all around. The pool is wonderful and very clean; is it located on a lower level of the house, and the area is shady in the afternoons. The kitchen, living room and terrace are very spacious, all open to an amazing sea-front and side view and perfect catch of the sunrise. There is direct access from the house to a small pebbly beach by going down on an unpaved road & some stairs. This is very nice for people who prefer privacy and don't want to travel by car to other larger beaches. The area itself is not very touristic, and built from scattered villas, therefore it is very quiet and private. There are a few tavernas (one exactly at the top of the street), there is a beach bar 3-km away in Skroponeria and few other tavernas few km away in the direction of Drosia. The closest shops, supermarkets, pharmacies etc can be found in Drosia, within 12-15 km drive. Serafeim is the perfect host and a very nice gentleman. He is very responsive, answering all questions and providing the right information. We were greeted at the location and the communication was very smooth. The owners pay attention to the smallest details, and this is obvious from the way the house and gardens are maintained. The internet worked smoothly without any interruptions. We loved our stay in this house!

The way to the villa is on an unpaved hilly road from the main street; we got used to it quickly though and it also helped that we had a reliable car. Also, the house has 3 bedrooms and only 1 bathroom; it was fine for us as we were only three people, but ideally we'd have preferred an additional bathroom or toilet.

The view is spectacular. The area is very quiet and peaceful (if a little remote). Having a private pool is great. We didn't realise when booking that the pool and garden are down steps, while the terrace and all rooms are on the first floor. (The ground floor is the landlords apartment - although they do not stay there when they have guests.) The accommodation feels new and smart. Having a barbecue was great. There is a lovely beach bar 5 minutes drive away. Alykes beach (golden sand, umbrellas, sunbeds, iced beers) is about 15minutes. I'd recommend Avantis Winery for great wine tasting and Aegean Seals for a cool 4-hour Scuba experience - both in Chalkida.

The area is yet to be tarmacked so there is about 400m of dirt road before you reach asphalt, and it is steep. Our rental car struggled a bit and kicked up a few stones. However, Serafeim tells us that there are plans to tarmac the area soon. We were the first visitors this season because of Covid and they'd stripped back some of the kit in the house. It would be useful to have a few more cups, plates, utensils. I suggested to Serapheim that he get a microwave. Apart from that the house had everything we wanted.
