The hosts communicated well in advance to inform of entry arrangements. The kindly left some milk, a cake and a couple of beers too.

Magnolia cottage is a really well presented and cosy place to stay. I visited in autumn and used the log burner in the evenings. The property is on a quiet street and easy to find.
It had everything I needed for the weekend stay from a facilities perspective and was well positioned for me to access the hills of Caer Caradoc and Long Mynd.
Church Stretton centre is a short walk away across the main road and a foot bridge at the train station.

Magnolia Cottage was just perfect for us whilst visiting family in the area. Silvie and Mark have thought of everything for people staying in their cosy house. The best equipped self catering accommodation I have ever stayed in. The local area is lovely. We visited cafes and pubs and were welcomed everywhere we went. I really do hope to return some day.

The provision of essentials and extras. Milk in the fridge, a homemade cake and tea bags for first night were especially welcome. As we were only staying 3 nights it was nice not to have to buy/bring items such as washing up liquid, kitchen roll, shampoo.

Everything you need is provided and the hosts were generous in supplying over and above. Cereals and 1 liter milk, plenty of coffee, tea, sugar, salt, couple bottles of beer, and a homemade loaf. They also provide more than one bath towel, hand towel or tea towel. This place felt like they valued our booking. There is a washing machine and a drying rack with a room to put it up. It felt like a home away from home. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Water pressure was great. Own off road parking right at the door. Central to the amazing walking trails (or running) which you can walk to from the accommodation. The town center is a 3 minute drive and the train station is within walking distance. We loved our 5 day stay here and would highly recommend.

Very convenient and comfortable accommodation. Everything provided and as advertised. Very easy to locate just off the main road and few minutes walk from train station which was nice surprise as we had a lovely day in Shrewsbury. Plenty of room, modern accommodation and parking on-site.

This was a return visit to Magnolia cottage and once again we were delighted with the quality of the accommodation. Thoughtful touches such as homemade cake and good quality toiletries reflect the care that the home owners take to ensure guests receive a warm welcome. Church Stretton provides the perfect base for a walking holiday and easily accessible day trips to Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Leominster and other local tourist attractions. We hope to return again in future.

It was beautifully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was so comfortable and inviting from the decor to the beds.

Great location, lots of walks from the property. Off road parking. Comfortable cottage and lovely additions from the host, such as baked cakes, milk coffee and beer in the fridge!

Perfect location with more space than expected. The cottage had everything needed for a holiday and the well stocked kitchen made cooking very easy. Lovely little extras from the host on arrival.
The water in the shower did have a propensity to run cold for a couple of minutes at a time.

Excellent accommodation which was very comfortable , spotlessly clean and well equipped. A perfect place to stay in for a few days away, there were some lovely personal touches on arrival especially the fresh local milk and 2 bottles of local beer. Location was ideal for our needs with a very short walk to the town centre and a slightly longer walk to the beautiful Carding Mill Valley.

Excellent property in perfect position for Shropshire Hills. Very well equipped and spacious property. Hosts were exceptional and supplied lots of types of tea/coffee, chocolates , milk and even some locally brewed ale which was delightful.

Location was perfect for walking into Church Stretton or for car journeys, the A49 was close by.
The hosts kindly provided eggs,milk,biscuits, breakfast cerials and beer which was a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated.
The cottage was spacious,comfortable and very well equipped.

Lovely two bedroom house with off street parking. Lots of added little extras supplied like tea, coffee, sugar, cereal, milk, eggs, washing up liquid, shampoo, body wash, towels, flannels and a cake to name just a few. A five minute walk into Church Stretton. Would have liked to stay longer!!

The decor was lovely with samples of the owners artwork in all rooms. The little touches of gifts of beer, fresh eggs and cake were very much appreciated.

If there were 4 people in the house which I think is the max occupancy then I think we would have struggled only having 1 toilet. I’d consider a downstairs cloakroom.

Really comfortable and just a short stroll into town (5 minutes)
We liked everything. A few egg cups for the ‘eggscellent’ eggs they left for us would be useful 🙂

We loved everything. It was the most well-equipped cottage we've every stayed in and the little touches such as the homemade cakes on arrival, local beers in the fridge and fresh milk was so thoughtful (and tasty!) We loved having the log fire and the wood was provided. The beds were so comfortable and so was the stay in general - a real home from home. We went on some gorgeous walks in the hills and Church Stretton was the perfect base with walks on the doorstep. The paintings in the cottage were beautiful. We would highly recommend and already want to go back!
