The location

The room very small and noisy. It can be call student room.

Zimmer sehr klein, aber komfortabel. Personal sehr freundlich.

Frühstück Basic, findet leider im Keller statt und ist eher weniger gemütlich.

The hotel is well placed close to the Goodge Str Tube station which is about a 5 min walk. It is very central if you want to visit the British Museum, Egyptian Museum etc. The breakfast was a continental breakfast, but they do offer English Breakfast provided your arrange this with them. A perfect place if you are just looking for a place to sleep. We left our luggage at reception so we could carry on with our visit and picked it up in the evening.

Our room - a double, was on the ground floor and was very small. It was literally just a double bed with a night stand on the one side of the bed only as bed is propped up to the window to maximize space. There is a small bathroom and they have one chair so if you are a couple, one of you has to sit on the bed and one on the chair. No dressing table, so the kettle, tea, coffee is positioned on the night stand. As it is on the road side you can hear the road traffic. Perfect if you are travelling or just want a place to sleep, but a bit cramped for 2. The wardrobe is oversized for size of room and the hairdryer cable was too short to be able to dry your hair while looking in a mirror.

Good central location with nice croissants and continental breakfast. Small but perfectly adequate rooms. Necessities all provided which is all I needed really.

The bed was a bit small but comfortable.

The staff were very accommodating and let me leave my wheelchair downstairs .the breakfast was excellent.

Amazing location it as a person not from London it was an ideal location had me 10 minutes from where I needed to be. The hotel looks great the staff where so friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast looked great so much to choose from and was replenished very quickly the staff where really on the ball with everything

The room was smaller than expected

Lovely staff, great location, gave me a room not on ground floor as requested. Clean.

Definitely NOT a 4 star as very basic. Shower barely worked and would get stuck on until I used a towel to grip the dial to be able to put the force in required to turn it off. No hot water, luke warm.

The location of the property was excellent, incredibly central and perfect for the conference I was attending at Senate House. The breakfast was also very varied and there were plenty of options.

They weren’t joking when they said the room was a small single room - it really was tiny! I was glad I was only staying for one night as the bed itself was quite hard and uncomfortable, and shower was very small and the toilet was wedged in right up against the sink. The room served the purpose of staying overnight for a conference, but I wouldn’t rush back to stay in that particular room, especially for £105 for 1 night!

Excellent value for the money. Hotel was refurbished recently and is in perfect condition.

Street is not very busy, still it can be a bit noisy.

The room was on the ground floor - other than that - we were not happy with our accommodation.

The room too small to accommodate 3 adults. The hotel itself including the dining room and our bedroom very tired, not clean, cobwebs, marks on the ceiling in the bedroom and the shower room. My sister dropped her mobile at the back of the bed and when we pulled the bed away from the wall - oh my goodness!! there was a pair of underwear (not ours), an old milk carton, sweet wrappings, stains on the carpet. For 3 adults in London for the weekend we had 4 hangers in the wardrobe and when we asked for some more - we were given 1 and that was it!! We also requested skimmed or semi skimmed milk which we were told was not available - we do not drink whole milk for tea or coffee so we bought our own. Unfortunately there was not a fridge to put the milk in which in the middle of summer would have been nice. The dining room staff appeared unhappy, did not greet any of the guests on entering the dining room or ask if the guests found everything to be ok? Surely this is one of the basics in the hospitality trade that staff are encouraged to make the guests feel special, welcomed and that nothing is too much to ask for. The name of the hotel is the 'Bloomsbury Palace Hotel' - unfortunately - it did not feel palatial.

The location is execellent. And the staffs are so kind.

Room air conditioning was broken, and the windows couldn't be operated properly (broken as well). As the room is just below the roof it got extremely hot. After telling staff, the solution found was to prop the window open with a stick (which now meant it couldn't be closed either) and to use a fan to cool the room a little bit. On top of that, the shower dials are very stiff and can only be operated by grabbing them with a towel and using all my strength to twist them.

Location was good. Underground station was close.

Room was very very small. No air con, only a fan on a stand which was ineffective when the temperatures were over 29 deg C when we stayed.

The hotel was fine! Perfect for solo travellers who are most of the day out. I knew what I had paid for, and I didn't have any surprise. The room is small - just as the description says! I was more worried about the noise, as I had read some negative comments about it - fortunately, I had a really good experience. I had requested as a preference not to have a room facing the main street, and they replied they were going to do their best, but they could not guarantee it. The room I got was in fact not facing the main street, and I didn't hear any single noise from other guests or from the streets any of the nights. The location is excellent. The breakfast is just fine. The girls at the reception (Orla and the one in the morning shift - I do not know her name) were sooo kind.

There are no lifts, just stairs - again, I knew about it from other reviews, so no surprise. The day I arrived there were constructors working in the hotel and I was redirected to my room using other corridors, having to go up and down the stairs again. The following day I did the same and one of the workers didn't like it as I should have used the regular stairs... how could I know? Nobody told me. Anyway, we both apologized and that was it :)

Friendly good value guest house with very good breakfast .

Dust evident on surfaces in room so maybe more attention needed to cleaning but other places clean
