If you are goint to experiance the "Great Ocean road" this hotel is a perfect starting point, for day trips around the area. Visit the Twelve apostles, the Cape Otway national park, the beaches, or just the spesial nature around. The rooms was perfekt, and you have your own car park outside your dor. 100 meter to the shops / resturants Duncan and Anna was realy nice, telling the story around the Apollo Bay area. Very nice breakefast with your own *al a cart" egg and beacon........ Highlig recomended.

We enjoyed our overnight stay here. The accommodation is back one street from the esplanade, so nice and quiet, yet close to shops and the post office. Our room was clean and tidy, but plates, bowls, and cutlery were not already in the room; On asking these were provided though. The husband and wife team at the accommodation were very helpful and a pleasure to talk to.

The water temperature for the shower would fluctuate between just warm, to cold, possibly due to other clientele using the showers at the same time.

Duncan and Anna were so welcoming and friendly and could not have done more to make this stay so good. The accommodation was superb, private and exceptional clean. Breakfast was excellent and it was a pity we were only there for the one night. They really do know how to treat guests and deserve every success they get.

Loved everything about our stay and the staff were amazing. They included breakfast which was beautiful and the location couldn't be better!

The only thing is that if you're staying for a longer duration there is no kitchen, just a kettle and a mini fridge. Fine for a weekend though especially if they including breaky!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts are wonderful people. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend to stay here and will book again next time we’re in Apollo Bay.

Our stay at Captain's at the Bay was excellent. The location, just behind the main street of Apollo Bay was perfect. Just a few steps to the local supermarket, and only several hundred meters to the beach. The room was comfortable, well appointed with a very clean and spacious bathroom. The bed was also very comfy! We received helpful tips to explore the wonderful surrounds, as well as a friendly and personal service on check in and check out. Apollo Bay, although a little smaller than other cities down the Great Ocean Road (such as Lorne) is blessed with a beautiful beach, great seafood and a stunning location close to the otways rainforest. For those looking to explore the area, we would highly recommend Captain's at the Bay!
