The continental breakfast was very good. We arrrived later than expected and Nadine kindly made us a pot of tea which was ver welcome. The hotel is very close to the sea and very quiet.Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Only a small issue but a proper shower would have been nice and a second pillow.

The building is beautiful and with lots of history. It is very clean, comfortable and peaceful. The room and bed, shower etc all of high quality. The location is perfect by the town and just 2 minutes walk from the wonderful beach. If you want a b&b we highly recommend it.

It is described as a hotel but it is more of a b&b as there are not really any hotel facilities such as communal areas or any where for drinks or other services. Being described as a hotel we had expected it would have more ie. offer drinks or coffee and services for residents. Breakfast is offered at an extra cost. The one public space though then has the breakfast tables set out all day, which is a shame, as it makes it feel like you can't use the room at other times. This is a pity as it's a beautiful room but importantly it's the only communal space.

This was a beautiful period property and a delight to stay in.

We had a wonderful time at La Maison d' Emilie. It was a pity that we had a short stay otherwise we would stay for a month in Houlgate. 😇 The owner Jean Marie was very friendly, and helpfull. The room en bathroom very clean. Great oarking at the hotel and it's near the beach. The location is central in Normandie. Good vibe!
