Arrived after driving 5 hours to a filthy house that had not been cleaned

The property was well laid out and plenty of space with a nice yard.

Unfortunately the house was not clean - oven was left dirty, sheets were mouldy, lollipop left stuck on the floor, glass around pool and doors were filthy and items from the last guest were left in the dryer. The main bed broke the first afternoon we arrived and was not replaced until the next day so we slept on the floor. Lights were out in the kitchen and general maintenance required was not attended to prior to this letting (the upstairs bed was also broken but at least sleepable). The plumbing overflowed in the en-suite and water went through the bedroom and a plumber was needed to clear a blocked drain of hair! The Property managers tried hard to help correct all of the issues over our stay which was appreciated. Being on a main road it was very noisy. There was no heating (we were very cold and no blankets provided) and only ceiling fans if you were there in summer it would be a hotbox upstairs. If the property had been looked after and kept clean and updated it would have been a better experience. We were extremely disappointed given the nightly tariff and would not recommend this in its current state.
