we loved our stay! the bb is super clean and well run, the managers are a close knit family and they do a fantastic job. they helped us find a yoga lesson and offered delicious breakfast. unlimited tea and coffee was appreciated. we loved that it was a close walk to the ocean where we went for long walks

We had the most amazing stay! Millie and her family made us feel so welcome and treated us as personal guests. Very luxurious though relaxed settings - 10/10 would go back!

Overall, the B&B was exceptional. Great value for money! It felt way more "luxurious" than it should have for the price we paid. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. They helped make the stay great. They were attentive when we asked questions or had a very minor issue with our TV remote control. The breakfast was AMAZING. They had multiple options you could select from and were happy to accommodate a dietary restriction. Their options included both a Costa Rican breakfast and other more "North American" options if that's your thing. The room was very clean, spacious, and well-appointed. They had good storage in the room and had clearly thought about the design. A/C was effective even in 36-degree heat, plus our room had a ceiling fan so you could stay cooler and keep the A/C down a degree or two lower. Everything was very comfortable and our little terrace area was great. There was even an extra privacy screen that could help provide more shade in addition to "privacy". The pool and the rest of the grounds were well-cared for and comfortable. There are two small pools, with more than enough seating given the number of rooms. They were a short walk to a very nice beach. The beach itself was never busy and quite beautiful. Google Carrillo Beach to see more about it. It's 15 minutes drive to Samara's main area if you're looking to try out a different vibe and get additional supplies.

This is NOT a problem with the hotel, but something for travellers to be aware of. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path... so make sure that's what you're after! There is a small grocery/market and only two full restaurants within walking distance (5-10 minutes), plus a "soda" (which was actually quite good). There is one additional restaurant but they are only open a few days a week. The food was fine at those other restaurants but I wasn't overly impressed with the food. If you care a lot about food and options, you might have to drive to get more options. So just plan ahead if that's your thing! Everything else was AMAZING.

We stayed in the Deluxe Bungalow which is absolutely fantastic. It comprises a spacious bedroom, a well equipped kitchen, a small bathroom and a beautiful outdoor shower area. Everything was sparkling clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Nice patio area to sit outside and enjoy a drink or a meal. The bungalow is located on the other side of the tiny street, thus a bit off the main hotel building, but we appreciated our privacy. The two pools in the main area were lovely with nice loungers and umbrellas. Nice rancho with self-service fridge for cold drinks. The landlady was very nice and helpful. If you are looking for the perfect steak dinner I highly recommend checking out El Colibri. Most delicious tenderloin I have ever had. Two small supermarkets in walking distance. Walk to the beach is not too bad, but a car is recommended.

A small suitcase rack would be nice, but other than that it is perfect.

Great location! Very close to the beach, a few minutes from the city, big room, big bethroom, big balcony, quiet, clean and Vincent one of the owners is so nice and easy going, was very welcoming. Highly recommended!

beautiful property with a beautiful view of the hills. Tucked just seconds from the beach, it’s perfect. Close to Samara. The staff is a whole other story! The nicest bunch of people we’ve ever encountered at a hotel! Always came home to a beautifully clean room and friendly smiles

We loved the personal treatment we received from both the owner Millie and her employee Candy. The private and quite atmosphere was perfect. The outdoor shower was unique and really fun!

The place was very relaxing and the break fast was excellent. Homemade jams! Location was great

The owners were fabulous

Breakfast and hosts were amazing. Atmosphere was incredible. Rooms were so cozy but spacious and the shower was lovely. Laundry was reasonably priced and quick, and one of the owners makes all of this cute crocheted stuff - bags and dresses and such - that they have for sale, along with some amazing baked goods she also makes!

Was surprised to see young teens there after it was advertised as adults only - they were a little loud in the pool and I think it was them thumping above me for a while late at night :/ Not a huge deal, just a little different than expected given the advertising!

Beautiful and tranquil place for relaxation and it’s close to the beach and fantastic restaurants. Breakfast each morning is the highlight of the day and swimming in the lit pool at night is a wonderful way to unwind.

Beautiful place, clean, comfertable. Very good breakfast, 2 lovely pools and relax atmosfir. Very close to the beach (400 mtr). Vincent is a very lovely and friendly host.

We liked everything about the Casa Buenavista. It is exactly as described. Very peaceful, comfortable, spotlessly clean and very nice attention to detail throughout. Comfortable beds, pillows and bed linen. The owner, Vincent was very helpful and friendly. A few restaurants and beach within walking distance. Other attractions drivable, although often via challenging roads. If you are looking for a quiet haven in this area I can highly recommend Casa Buenavista.

Decoration and furniture was incredible. We had holiday from our vacation. The bed was amazing we slept like in our own bed. The Natural shower is something you got to try :)
