Lovely hotel with spectacular views of the sea. Pool was very nice and the room was equipped with everything needed to be self sufficient although the restaurant’s and taverns are all close by. The mini mart was a 2 minute walk and the bike/quad rentals right across the street for exploring this beautiful island. Beach was also very close to the hotel.

The room was comfortable and clean, with a really nice balcony. The owners are extremely nice and were more than happy to help with suggestions and tips.

What really made this place was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Yannis and Miranda - even the cleaning lady was super-friendly :) The pool was great too! They were there to give advice on anything you needed to know about - I followed up on their great restaurant suggestions - and clearly took care of the property. The pool was crystal-clear, with a separate shallow pool for small children and, during the day, I had it to myself most of the time. It is on the main road to Askeli, but you only really hear traffic when you are by the pool. I loved the little balcony too.

As other reviewers have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs because the property is built against a hill, but I was OK with it.

With a view comes the inevitable Stairs.... there were 9 flights (some small ones) to our apartment. The bathroom was dated with no shower hook.

The hotel was lovely, the location was perfect and within walking distance of the beach, and the host, Giannis was so accommodating to our needs. The hotel is only a short walk into town.

Very nice place for the cost, if you are just looking for a room to sleep in for a day or two while exploring the island. The pool was sparkling clean and was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. The view of the sea was also nice from the balcony of the room as well. If interested in cooking there were utensils, stove, refrigerator, etc. However, we did not use any of those during our one night stay. The manager was very responsive to our questions and requests and also allow us to check in to our room early since our ferry arrived at noon. It was much appreciated. The walking distance to the ferry terminal and port area was only 20 minutes, where there are also many stores and restaurants. The closest beach is a few minutes walk and a bike rental agency is right across from the hotel... all very convenient.

Not necessarily unique to this hotel, but as is the case with many European hotels, the key to the room and electricity are connected and put into a slot upon entering and exiting the room. Thus, each time you enter or exit the room, the AC turns on or off. I mention this only because it takes some time to cool the room again, especially in the summer. Also, when going onto the balcony the patio door is connected to the AC so that it turns off in the room. Thus, you have the same issue of taking time to cool the room again. If one person wants to sit on the balcony in the evening or morning and the other person wants to remain in the room--- it's an issue! Also, as indicated in a few other reviews, if on a higher floor, be aware that there are many steps to climb. It was not an issue for us, but if it is for other, they should request a lower floor. Finally, with the cost of the room being so reasonable, one should not expect a lot of extras that they might have in a more expensive lodging.
