The property owner was great to deal with. Timely & polite. The cottage is totally walkable to great Ditch Plains beaches. The place and amenities were precise to the listing. We had a rainy weekend, so we spent more time there than expected and were comfortable. The other homes are close by, but the neighborhood is quiet. Slept to the sound of crickets and surf off in the distance. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens. We used fireplace as it was super damp one night. Plenty of firewood available in town. Kitchen was great, washer dryer worked. Plenty of seating available outside. There’s a good list of activities, restaurants & services in the rental agreement doc. 5 min drive to downtown Montauk. Would stay again!

We had a great week in Montauk. This little house is perfect - its adorable, has everything you need, in a great location, and most importantly it was very clean. Plus, it is pet friendly. Its really hard to find pet friendly rentals that check all those other boxes too! The host was very responsive to messages. I really appreciated the welcome letter with lots of great suggestions, which we referred to often. They have chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, everything you need to enjoy the beach. I always appreciate not having to pack linens, so the fact that there were sheets, towels, and beach towels was amazing. I would absolutely rent this property again. We hope to come back soon to experience the off season - it was very crowded the week we were there, with long wait times at most restaurants almost every night. Plan accordingly! I would just point out to fellow dog owners, the yard is not entirely fenced in. It's mostly fenced, but there are points of egress alongside the house and a small dog can easily go underneath in certain places. There's also lots of wildlife to chase, so we ended up leashing our dog in the yard to be on the safe side. This was not a big deal although it was a little bit of a bummer. 10/10, would rent again!

The house and neighborhood is very quiet, in close distance of the ocean. The Montauk-vibe as you can expect it.

Maybe the place needs a few touch-ups in places, but it's a casual, comfortable, clean, welcoming place to be. Any questions or concerns I had were quickly answered and with friendliness and flexibility. The distance to the beach is more than 3 blocks (it's .4 miles), but it's a flat, easy walk. Thanks.

We have stayed several times at this house because it is just the perfect little beach cottage. It's very neat and clean, has a beautiful back yard, and is a nice short walk to Ditch Plains Beach. A plus is the neighborhood has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere!

Relaxing, quiet property with ample backyard for sunning and letting the dog out. Modern kitchen, great for cooking, and eating in. Antique-e furniture (which I like) gives the cottage a homey feel. 3 block walk to the beach..

The location is ideal. Very short walk to the beach. The cottage is small but has everything you need. The deck in back is nice for eating outside and the Weber grill works great. Good communication with the owner who helped supply some things and make a quick repair. Perfect for vacationing with a dog. The streets are very quiet.

Everything is as described in this cozy and bright house! We loved having the backyard and used both the front and back decks extensively. I want to go back already!

Just a short walk to the iconic Ditch Plains Beach Even if you don’t surf, it’s a very scenic view. I choose to ride one of the bikes provided by the house to the beach. This way I could take a speedy ride back to the house when needed. Also, the house was well stocked and the owner is very accessible!

Super cute beach cottage walking distance to Ditch Plains Beach. Great beds, grill, kitchen and in house laundry made stay a pleasure. Living room furniture and outdoor lounge chairs are a bit tired but it IS a beach cottage. Beach towels and beach chairs pretty worn out/broken or missing but we had brought some of our own so it was ok. Property manager offered to bring some over when I messaged him. Would stay there again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this house, and will definitely stay again. The location is perfect, the neighborhood is quiet and the walk to the beach is less than 10 minutes. The house is super clean, it has everything you need to stay for the week. The backyard is so peaceful and relaxing, we loved sitting on the back deck in the late afternoons and evenings. And it is a plus that it is dog friendly! Chris is great about providing all the info needed, and the check in and check out process is contactless and easy. We will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful stay! The house is SO close to Ditch. Open, airy, tastefully appointed living areas. Comfy crisp beds. All you need to cook. It was cold & rainy the entire time, so the wood stove was absolute heaven. All communications super easy too, and really accommodating! Thank you for such a wonderful weekend.

Perfect property! Two couples stayed, one with a baby and the other with a dog. What a perfect and relaxing family home! Spotless, beautiful, and comfortable with two decks and a short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

My husband and I stayed here from Wednesday to Saturday. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The cottage was clean and bright (although the weather was not!). Beds very comfortable and linens crisp and clean. Kitchen had ample pots/ pans and all other needs. Washer/dryer were great and gas grill perfect for cooking a quick dinner. Woos stove was a perfect addition as the weather was very stormy. I will definitely look for this spot again next time we need another get away. Thank you Micheal for your quick attention to questions that came up. Sue

Nice, quiet spot <10 min walk to the beach. It was clean and had everything we needed. The Internet connection was strong (although it was a little difficult for two of us to be working remotely and having phone calls because it’s small and not sound proof... but hopefully if you visit, you won’t have to work!). The living area furniture could use some updating (one chair in particular looked old / kind of dirty) but the beds were clean and comfy.

5 min walk to the beach. Quiet, clean and private. Only suggestion i have is a bit of fencing iextension in the back to enclose the yard completely helps to keep dogs safe. An extra blanket or two in the winter would also be nice. Wood stove was great, and kitchen was well stocked with enough pot ware to cook easily. Definitely will stay again!

Ditch Plains Beach Cottage is a lovely cottage in a very nice neighborhood. A short walk to the beautiful Ditch Plains beach which Is dog friendly. The wood stove was delightful in the evenings and the kitchen is very easy and well equipped. We would definitely recommend this property. We will return ourselves.
