Very nice time at Cool Whip.

The Cool Whip is the perfect getaway home. It’s centrally located and easy to travel up or down the Cape without being stuck in a vehicle too long. Shopping and restaurants are near by if you need anything. The beach and access to Bucks Pond for boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, etc. is perfect. Home is very charming. Unique layout, and provides for a very comfortable and relaxing environment. Jerry is very communicative and attentive to questions or concerns. You won’t regret renting this home for your Cape vacation. It may actually be one of your best experiences. You really can’t ask for much more. Thanks for everything, Jerry! We’ll be back!

We went for a girls weekend & fit 5 of us comfortably. It was so nice having 3 bathrooms and the way the house is set up, the living room and kitchen are on the other side of the house from the master & another bedroom so if some of us got loud, those who went to bed early couldn't hear us. We were excited to use the paddleboards & solo stove, but it rained while we were there. It would have been so nice to sit outside with a drink as they have string lights, but it rained almost every weekend this summer. We all said this would be a great place to enjoy over the summer with our kids as it was private and had everything we needed. There was enough parking for all of us, 2 right in front of the house, we did not use the driveway as it scraped the bottom of the car backing out. Its on a dead end so some of us parked there, next to the backyard & we brought our things in through the sliding doors. They left us a gift which was very thoughtful. Jerry communicated a lot with me before & after we returned to make sure we had everything we need. We also were able to get into the house a little early which was nice. Jerry is very flexible and easy to work with. Highly recommend this home.

My family and I had an amazing time at Cool Whip! The location and house were beautiful. The pond is an amazing feature, and the sailboat was the icing on the cake! The house is located central to most Cape Cod activities. I would recommend anybody who needs to stay in Cape Cod to check this place up.
I caught three largemouth bass near the dock. I used a crank bait near the surface at dusk.

The house was great. Location was perfect for enjoying the Cape Cod pond. Plenty of boats and life-vests for adults and kids. Kitchen is amazingly well stocked so it was no problem cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Definitely would stay here again.

We spent a wonderful week with extended family. The house is spacious, with lots of room for everyone to find quiet and privacy, and the gathering spaces inside and outside have lots of room for a crowd. The kitchen is well equipped and the grill was new and easy to use. The pond is beautiful and we spent time there every day, playing on the beach and dock, swimming and kayaking. Proximity to the rail trail, Bay and coastal beaches and Brewster and Chatham made for so many adventures. The owner readily responded to a few concerns about cleanliness and recommendations for cleaners to attend to in the future. I would also suggest investing in a dehumidifier and running the a/c through the more humid months to combat mildew that is inevitable in a Cape home. We hope to return for many more summers!

Beautiful property inside and out

Very Nice Stay. Surprised by initial condition
Four adult college friends spent a delightful 3 nights and explored Cape Cod. On arrival, this very nice home had some unexpected sand in one bathtub, furry dust buildup on ceiling fans, a leaking refrigerator and sand/pet hair on one bedspread. When told, the owner quickly called the cleaning service who'd misunderstood the date to clean the place and informed us that he was waiting for a new refrigerator (and that we should use towels to catch the dripping water from the fridge.) When we returned that afternoon, the place was cleaned. We were very pleased with the owners rapid response. Despite bearing the dings of long loved homes, this house provides plentiful indoor space, great lakefront views, beach/lake play opportunities and deck seating/eating space. We recommend this spot for famlies looking for a well located Cape vacation.

A true gem!
Had a great stay in Harwich. Loved renting in mid June before the summer crowds. Property was so much fun with many activities including swimming, kayaking and fire pit with s’mores at night! Property owner Jerry was very accommodating and responsive. Hope to return next summer!

Fabulous getaway property
The house and location was amazing - perfect multi-family set up and the private beach/dock was fantastic! We had such a great time at the house, kayaking on the lake, enjoying the backyard and fire pit. Jerry was super responsive and answered all questions promptly. @Jerry - thx also for the welcome bottle of wine. It was a nice local treat with our lobster dinner. 😁

Very special waterfront spot for families
This property had everything we needed and then some: comfortable beds, spaciousness, modern kitchen, big TV screen for movies, fire pit and huge yard with our own beach and all kinds of boats! It was truly our home away from home for a special family reunion. Before renting, I asked if the host would consider putting in bathroom grab bars for my older parents and he didn't hesitate to install them for us. Really special house and hosts!

Beautiful spot !
Very comfortable home with plenty of space for all. We were only 3 but could easily have had extended family and all been comfortable. True to the listing there are lots of private little areas to enjoy as well as a nice open space for cooking, lounging and dining. The host has many thoughtful and helpful touches throughout to make your stay enjoyable. The outdoor space is peaceful in a quiet neighborhood. Would love to return in the summer months to take advantage of being waterfront with all the toys needed for summer fun !

We had a wonderful getaway here. The kids loved everything about this house and so did we. It was warm enough to enjoy the boats and roast s’mores. The house felt so private and peaceful. Wonderful!

Loved this property
My family really enjoyed staying here for the weekend. The house is very spacious and the layout is great. The lake view is absolutely amazing, we stayed here in late October and would love to spend a few days here during the summer time to enjoy the lake. The house was clean overall however, I wish a more deep cleaning is done. The walls look dirty, the sofa covers and ottoman also looked dirty and the dining room chairs felt like they are falling apart. The kitchen is very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook meals. A lot of activities to do, we would stay here again.

Family oasis
My multigenerational family were visiting the area for a family function. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect house! The owners were just a quick text away and extremely accommodating. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds were stunning. The calm greeting of the lake each morning was perfect. Older family members found the house easy to navigate. There was plenty of room to spread out inside and outside of the home. The kitchen was so well stocked. My husband tried his hand at fishing on the picturesque lake. We did try the burritos at the Chatham Corner Store and they were DELICIOUS! We can not recommend this home enough and hope to be back some day!

The property is well equipped for relaxation or for active fun filled days in the yard, on the private beach, on the lake/pond or at any of the nearby beaches or towns. The toys/ games/ books/ boating options included at the house are great for everyone. Communication with the owner was great! Directions, recommendations or an answer to a question was a simple text away. We will be back, and have already told others about the property for their family trips. Only thing we got caught up with (that I may have just missed in an email prior to our trip) was that bedding and towels are not provided. We were able to get by for two nights though for just the 4 of us. A longer stay, with more friends/family would require a separate bag just for sheets/towels, so plan for that. Great place overall!! If it’s available, book it and have fun!

Fabulous getaway on the water
Our family had a simply AMAZING time at this house on a large pond! The location was great, with the private dock and water toys too (we all loved the kayaks!). We didn't use all the toys, but instead focused on kayak trips around the pond, and swimming, jumping, and splashing. Plenty of space, great amenities, and the best communication by far by the property owner. It was a special getaway, and a great opportunity for a quarantine vacation and a bit of the lake life.

Great Time
Spent the week on the lake kayaking, swimming, and enjoying the property. We had a few issues during our stay but Jerry was quick with response. We never left the property much except a few times. I would highly recommend booking here.

Great place for a family!
We stayed at Buck's Pond for a family event for ages 2 to 78 and everyone had a great time. The kids loved the bunk room and the cooks found everything they needed to keep us well fed. The table for 10 on the patio made meal time a real family event.
The cottage is equipped with ping pong and lawn games but the highlight for us was the waterfront. All 8 of us were able to get out on the water at the same time and still leave the standup paddle board tied to the dock. That was special. The SUP wasn't ignored. Our 7 year showed us how it's done.
We highly recommend Jerry's cottage and look forward to returning.

Adorable house with beach on a pristine pond
We had a great stay. The home is large with lots of places to spread out, perfect for a large family. The pond is so clear and the soft sand beach was lovely. We loved that we could visit the numerous local ocean beaches and also swim and kayak at the pond...the best of both worlds! It was a great way to spend a week.

Best house we have ever rented!
This house is absolutely amazing for any family who loves freshwater adventures. The private beach is clean and large enough to accommodate sun bathing, relaxing in the shade, digging in the sand... and the kayaks, row boat, and sail boat will keep everyone entertained. The pond has a sandy bottom and the water was super clean. I can’t say enough about this place!
The house is huge and has many places for each family member. The kitchen is well equipped and the extra seating with the barstools came in handy.
Jerry was a gracious host and provided us with updates after the rare tornado in Harwich knocked it our power. We hope to be back next summer!!

Hidden gem!
From the moment we arrived, this place was a gem! Tucked away on the end of a quiet street, we arrived in the evening and settled into a warm and generous space, tastefully decorated with everything you would need for a getaway. The kitchen is well stocked and lovely to cook in...plenty of room and light. It was such a delight to see the lake from the living room on the first morning, always present and calming. Visiting with my parents, we had good times kayaking, playing bean bag toss, walking on the nearby rail trail, and exploring the environs. Everything is a close drive from this location and can certainly accommodate a nice crowd but with many rooms and places to be - decks, side rooms, outside patio, beach. The owner was also very responsive while we were staying there with any questions we had. Would highly recommend to families looking for spot to get away on the Cape!

Great week with Family on Cape
We had a wonderful time for our week on the cape. We go every year and this was our second year on Bucks pond. This house had a great location , wonderful yard, beach and swim dock. Everything you need. Our 4 and 6 year old spent hours on the beach and jumping off the swim dock. My husband enjoyed sailing on the pond.
Bathrooms and kitchen are all updated, spacious rooms, fully equipped.
Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Great house, beautiful pond, nice equipment
The house is very nice with a master, guest bedroom, den with pullout bed, and a bunk room that can hold a lot of kids. Access to the water is perfect, with two nice kayaks and sunfish sailboat in good condition. There is also a row boat. There is both a dock and a float. The pond is perfect for paddling, sailing, fishing and swimming. Everything inside the house worked well and was in good condition. This a great house. We had a lot of fun.
