Maple's Den - Collingwood beach house
Maple's Den è una casa tranquilla, confortevole e soleggiata con 3 camere da letto proprio di fronte alla spiaggia di Collingwood. Lo spazioso soggiorno a pianta aperta e la zona pranzo e la veranda offrono una vista a 180 gradi sulla baia da Separation Point a Farewell Spit. Dalla zona giorno e dal solarium al piano superiore è possibile osservare albe spettacolari, interessanti uccelli costieri e lasciarsi incantare dalla marea che entra ed esce.
La cucina è molto ben attrezzata e si affaccia sull'oceano. Il sundeck porta ad un ponte con un barbecue di buona qualità. Ci sono tre ampie camere da letto, un re e una regina al piano di sopra, e una terza camera da letto al piano di sotto con una regina e un letto a castello. C'è una vasta selezione di DVD, giochi e libri per occupare tutte le età, oltre a internet wifi gratuito e illimitato. Maple's Den è anche molto adatto per una fuga invernale confortevole, con un camino e una buona scorta di legna da ardere secca per notti d'inverno accoglienti.
La spiaggia è marea e sicura per il nuoto e si trova sulla strada costiera a piedi per il Parco Milnethorpe. Il bach si trova a pochi passi dal caffè Courthouse, dal pub locale e dai negozi del villaggio di Collingwood, nonché dal punto di partenza per i tour di Farewell Spit. Maple's Den è ben posizionato per accedere alla pista Heaphy e per esplorare Farewell Spit, Wharariki Beach e tutto ciò che Golden Bay ha da offrire.

Although in winter and with a couple of v rainy days, we enjoyed our stay very much. The house has a phantastic view over the bay and is bright and airy and snug warm with log fire. Thanks to our hosts to make our stay v comfortable and acommodating.

We loved staying at Maple's Den. Sitting out on the verandah watching a moonrise over the water was an incredible experience. The place has everything you need with a beautiful warm fire place, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and Washing Machine. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our four night stay in Maple’s Den. It had all we hoped for : Lovely water view, across the narrow street from the shore, short walk to cafe and general store, clean quality BBQ, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, good selection of DVDs and very clean and comfortable. We regret not staying longer but will next time we visit lovely Golden Bay.

Large and roomy although there was only the two of us. Fully equipped kitchen and BBQ. Wonderful views, washing facilities. We were travelling around OZ and NZ for five weeks so needed home comforts. Great swimming and sitting on the beach, they even had beach chairs so it was perfect. Suggest food shopping before you get to Collingwood. Great place.

Beach is very safe for young children swimming.
Kitchen was stocked with all the tools needed.
Our only issue was lack of sleep, the blinds at night when sleeping constantly bang in the wind, and one of the beds was really noisy everytime you moved the metal slats squeaked.

Lovely place to be for our family Xmas holiday. Good facilities and a wonderful view. We didn’t get the weather we were hoping for but enjoyed the lounge with a view for lots of board games and cheese platters. 😊

Beach front located at the end of a fairly quiet road, just the odd beach goer. The enclosed verandah had seating for two and overlooked the beach. The "town" was a bit quiet but the local coutyard cafe serves up a good variety for lunch and the local pub for dinner.

The beach front property was amazing! Our little boys spent hours at the beach. Waking up to those gorgeous views and watching the tide go in and out was mesmerizing. We were all comfortable in the beds and the place felt very homely. Great instructions to get to the bach and how to use amentities and tidy up procedures. We would love to stay again! What a gem. Location is amazing. We saw seals from the kitchen window and enjoyed yummy fresh fruit from the back garden Kids played morning, noon and night on the beach across the road. Very tidy but not so pretentious that you couldn't relax. We can't wait to come to Collingwood again.

This was a great place to stay. Perfect view. Well appointed, peaceful. Couldn't want for more. Warm and cosey once fire was lit. Beds very comfy and bedrooms a good size. Loved it. Booked for 2 nights but ended up booking an extra night. Would not hesitate to stay here here again.

Wonderful location, yes. However house is damp. Especially downstairs smelt very musty and damp - bed was damp against wall and cockroaches in bedroom. House gave my husband asthma for first time in years. Oven and vacuum-emptying instructions would be handy. Location and views perfect.
