Only one bathroom, checkin too late and check out too early

The hosts let us arrive early to drop off our luggage. The place is very central to lovely restaurants and the main shopping streets. It is also very near bus stop 1x City hall which is perfect for getting your buses of fly is to and from the airport.

As I approached the property I was unsure if it was the one I booked as the exterior of the property is not in good condition. Also the stair carpet into the property needs a good clean. Once you open the door to the actual apartment it is all spotless and in excellent condition so I would recommend it highly.

The handyman came in a room without giving a notice. Quite dark in shower, they should have more lights

Location was great -- next to Bus Stop#1. Rooms were large and clean, and kitchen was fairly well appointed. Wi-Fi worked great.

Only minor quibble is that there is no washer/dryer for washing clothes, and the lights in the bathroom, especially the shower is extremely dark. Would be better if they upgraded light bulbs to higher lumens so more light can make it into the shower.

Location w.r. city centre is very good. The apartment is comfortable and has good beds.

It is very noisy. There is a lot going on outside and you will notice that. 24h busses zooming by. Also there is a ground floor apartment and sounds carry over both ways. We could hear their conversation and visa versa.

The noise from the downstairs apartment went until 1-2 in the morning and began at 5:30 am.

The exterior of the building was rather shabby and not well-maintained. Also, being older, we would have appreciated a bannister on the steep stairs to the entrance to the house. instructions for the ceramic hob would have been useful!

The apartment was fantastic! It was very easy to get the key from the lockbox. The apartment had WiFi which we did not expect and was great for connecting and planning day trips. The location was perfect for Reykjavík. You are right in the heart of town and can walk anywhere. This was a perfect find. Our host was great to work with too! We added a day to our trip and she was able to accommodate us and helped us pay for it while there.

The apartment was so good that this is hard to answer. The only thing missing is a washer/dryer combo in the apartment.

The apartment is fantastic. Plenty of space to relax and feel like home. The decor is chic and comfortable. This is the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik because the location is very central. We had no problem getting on tours at bus stop number one, and easily walked to great restaurants. We were able to change our dates by a day when our flight was canceled and even store our bags after check out for a few hours. Thank you so much.

Honestly the whole place is great. We could hear the tenants downstairs a few times, but nothing that got in our way. We went in winter and expected a lot of snow. There was a shovel outside that became very helpful as the path was completely covered.

Location for going into town but that's about it

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, cosy sofas, amazing shower and the best equipped kitchen I’ve seen in a long time. Well located for local bars and restaurants and 2 mins from Bus Stop 1/City Hall for excursion pick ups. Perfect!

Honestly nothing we didn’t like. It really is a great apartment.

Grass needed cut and the front door needs adjusted, feels like it's locked when you try to open it

This is a spacious apartment in a great location.

I booked this apartment and, on the day of check-in, was told that another group had moved into our apartment due to a mix-up with the keys. We were offered an alternative apartment, number 2, which is downstairs. Upon check-in a noted that the downstairs apartment was not renovated. I asked for a refund of the difference in price and was offered a lowball amount which, more than 3 weeks later has not been given. Honestly, I did not want to make a big deal because I am sympathetic to the stresses the pandemic has placed and small businesspeople in the travel industry. The downstairs apartment had a much older bathroom and the freezer was leaking. Our first night in the apartment, the people upstairs (in the apartment we were supposed to have) make a huge amount of noise until 3:30 am, at which point they left and did not return. If we had been upstairs where we booked the noise likely would have been less problematic. Still waiting for an appropriate refund.

A very charming and spacious apartment with a good location, lots of room to spread out and a great renovated kitchen/eating space. Location was very close to the #1 bus stop which made tour pick ups and traveling on the bus around the city a breeze. It's also a quick walk to the center of town so you really don't need to take the bus or cabs at all. Also very close to lots of great restaurants and a small super market and wine shop. Wifi was good for the purposes we needed it (cell phone use and Netflix), the water pressure was good, all of the appliances we used were in working order. Also appreciated was the décor which was modern and clean. We very much enjoyed our stay.

A few small complaints that didn't detract from our stay but also didn't seem in line with the rest of the apartment. First the walkway to the front door was loaded with weeds. Not a big deal to walk past them but gave the impression that the property was in disrepair (which it is not). Second the carpet leading up to the apartment was dirty. The rest of the apartment was very clean but this also gave me a poor first impression. Third, the sheets were threadbare/piled and the pillows were flat. Small detail but an easy fix for the owners. Overall we had a great stay but these little things could be easily remedied to make for a top notch experience.

Location is very central, easy to get everywhere by foot, spacious rooms.

It was least clean property out of all our stays in Iceland. The lamps are covered in dust, entrance carpet is dirty, dust in corners. Even airbnbs in remote locations were much cleaner. The sheets seems old and rough.

The apartment is fantastic and good location with nice view and we will hopefully stay there again in future, yea nice to have big balcony on bedroom and kitchen as well
