Hosts made a very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast amazing, easy walk down to the waterfront.

Car was safely parked 100 yards away, but was no problem for us.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of options and the hosts were always on hand to cater for any eventuality. The room decor was top-notch, with comfortable beds & great facilities .The Dining room was spacious airy & bright and an ironing board & iron was available for guests to use. The Ryedale (Adults only ) was a short walk from Shanklin Railway Station & bus stop at the same location. Parking overnight at the Station courtesy of a parking ticket that the hosts provided and in our case they went to get the ticket despite the pouring rain. A short walk, 3-5 mins onto Regent Street to reach the shops: newsagents & coffee shops, etc, in the opposite direction towards the Beach/Esplanade, is maybe 10 minutes walk . We really enjoyed our short stay -we live on the Island and this was a weekend away without going to the Mainland -. A stay at The Ryedale is thoroughly recommended and is also an excellent base from which to explore the Island.

Clean and tidy. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. There is a wide variety of breakfast options. The B&B is in a perfect location. 5 min walk to the beach and 1 min to the train station. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The room was small and because it was warm I had to leave the window open so there was noise from the road. The hosts cannot do anything about that !

The Ryedale js a gem. The very charming married team of Hayley and John could not do more to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. The hotel is a little boutique hotel with the lovely furnishings and great attention to detail. A wonderful breakfast is served with great choices, fresh coffee etc. My friend was leaving very early on the day of departure and without asking Hayley offered her a breakfast takeaway which she was extremely happy about. As for myself unfortunately, I missed breakfast as unwell on the last day. Again Hayley offered a packed lunch to take with me in place without asking. it is the kindness and going the extra which makes all the difference. I highly recommend the Ryedale to stay. Also in a great location near the station and bus stops.

What a super place to have had the pleasure to stay. The hosts were lovely and very kind. The breakfast and respective supplies were superb. The room had everything that I required. My bicycle had safe storage, which was very important to me. Provision was made for eating locally purchased food (for which there was plenty of choice) on the premises if required. Fresh milk and cooled water were provided. Fridge space was available if required. Generally, requirements were catered for if needed.

Warm welcome and amazing breakfast. Everything was perfectly organized and instructions were mentioned for everything.

Hosts Hayley and John were most welcoming and helpful giving us lots of advice for example about interesting walks in the areas we were planning to visit. Having a comfortable base and excellent breakfasts to start the day made our holiday all that much more enjoyable. Quite a few people staying were regulars who had been coming for years and I can see why.

First the hosts - John/Hayley - were kind and receptive. Went with 2 kids and stayed in their family room which was spacious and kids loved their bunk bed. It had its own TV which was a bonus. Place was neat and clean. I did not use a car - so, cannot comment on parking. But, I heard the hosts had a parking bay near the train station(which was just 2 mins walk from the location). The beach is not right across your window - but, a pleasant straight road walk can take you to Shanklin beach. The high street is also near by(10 mins walk) with decent restaurants and there is a Coop supermarket just 5-10 mins away. The bus-stop is right in the entrance of the property and was super convenient for us(as we did not use a car). The hosts were kind enough to replace some meat/non-egg items with Vegetarian alternates as we did not eat meat or egg. Breakfast is a decent spread(Juice, Fruit mix, milk for cereals and variety of cereals) as standard on top of your menu choice(of say a full English breakfast). The lady of the house kept challenging my kid during breakfasts and my kid also participated in those games. Last day, my daughter gave her a drawing and she pleasantly gave a choice of gift which my daughter chose. Overall, we were happy with the stay. One thing I would like to remind those booking is that - this is a B&B run by a family. So, dont expect hotel like service. But it was cosy and we liked it and would revisit them if we came to Isle of Wight. Thanks - John, Hayley for hosting us.

I had a few niggles - which I discussed with John before I left. He gave a patient hearing - he agreed to some and gave reasoning for others. As such, they are not something that need to be discussed on a open forum as it could be individualistic. Nothing to complain - would have mentioned if there was anything to complain.

Where to start,from the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable and relaxed. Room 2 exquisite so bright fresh with lovely decor . Breakfast was all you could want and more with any special requests delivered with a smile . Having stayed in many island b+b The Ryedale is head and shoulders above the rest . A superb 10 out of 10 and looking forward to our return visit later in the year 🤞
