Friendly staff, good atmosphere

My room service order didn’t arrive The walkway to my room smelt of damp which was trying to be disguised with an artificial fragrance

Breakfast was basic. Proper boiling water in a pot for tea and coffee would be easy to facilitate- the machine wasn’t very goo d and not boiling so a crap cup of tea

Spa jacuzzi was too cool. Hotel guests should also be given a robe. Not a proper spa experience due to child swimming lessons so noisy not calming

The main meal was not good....... too little and meat well overcooked! The price of drinks!!!!!!!!!!

Location is fantastic, room sizes are excellent, staff always friendly and a great breakfast is always a great way to start the day !

Usually exceptionally clean , this time I found attention to be not as on the ball in the room (was clean enough / but usually outstanding)

the room was spacey although we paid extra for the upgrade. the room service was very edible with a moderate choice and fair price. The staff provided a pack breakfast as we were due to set off early and this was appreciated.

we specifically asked for a room close to reception / lifts as we are both disabled with some mobility issues. we sent a text to this effect and received notification that every effort would be made to accomodate this . . . why then were we given room 144, albiet on the ground floor, the furthest away from reception and the longest walk. We were both in significant pain upon eventual arrival at our room and at our car on departure. the room was moderately grubby with scuff marks on the walls and skirting board , There was human hair in the bath tub and mould around the tub edge. The air conditioning wasn't working despite our best efforts to programme it.

The location is fine.

First I got a room with a floor covered in “furry friends” hair. Second room the bathroom had a urine smell. Don’t get me started about the remote control, filthy.. To me the hotel looks fancy but the rooms I have seen were disappointing.

Drinks and food VERY expensive. £14 for a Caesar salad is expensive…. But that didn’t even include chicken… and extra £5 for that. Disgraceful really.

We needed a place to stay as we were taking the Eurotúnel the next morning. This ticked the boxes as only 20 minutes away. The room was clean and fit for purpose :) we were travelling with our dog and he too was made to feel welcome 🐶 large well designed lobby, nice grounds and close to a couple of supermarkets, bowling and sainsbury petrol station

We arrived at 6.30pm due to traffic so my 12 year old daughter wasn’t allowed in the pool and the gym didnt open until 8am which meant i couldn’t use it before heading out. The two main reasons we had booked the hotel 😅 I think considering most places consider over 12s adults in hotels this rule is very silly. The food in the lobby was very mediocre and expensive for the quality.for a 4 star hotel should have had smart TVs as a given these days even for most 3 stars. People have progressed beyond free view !

Excellent value for money, staff friendly, food in restaurant was very tasty

The only issue I had was the air conditioning. It didn't seem reduce the temperature.

Location was close to were I was visiting . It was also close to local amenities

The rooms were old and outdated. Bed sheets were stained. Rooms not cleaned to a four star standard. Bathrooms and toilets stained and not cleaned. Shower curtains need changing as they are full of mould unhygienic. Toliet tissue required changing and upkeep of the hotel in general is appalling . Duty manager requires further training of customer care within hospitality as service was poor or he may need training for bias and unconscious bias.

Property was clean , very clean room and good size . Apart from lacking a fridge the room was perfect . The spa facility was great , good size swim I pool .

Much better experience this visit..and a nice meal in the Restaurant...all be it a tad expensive.

Upgrade - coffee machine not working, fridge not working and no bottle opener to open complimentary bottled wine and beer.

Breakfast

Very noisy at night with other guests slamming doors and shouting in the corridor on our floor , not a problem with room above ours, one bath towel in room had to ask twice for it, shower hose leaked but it was fixed, we bowl dirty with lime scale and it didn’t flush sufficiently. Monday morning breakfast was a free for all too many people , Tuesday a lot less and was comfortable but they didn’t have our name down for breakfast, but we were allowed in.

Room.not very clean needs a total make over very shabby . Air con not working Hot tub not working

Room was very good, very clean good size en-suite, Large flat screen TV that worked well. tea and coffee facilities in room. Evening meal good. We had our small pet with us so we ate in the seating area just outside of the restaurant. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of food. Staff very attentive, check in was very quick and organised.

No negative comments whatsoever.

We particularly enjoyed the comfort of our room, variety of foods for breakfast and the pool. Our 7 year old son also found the hotel very "luxurious"

Had a few minor issues but the staff dealt with all of them so won't even mention here.

Unfortunately when it came to the breakfast there was poor service because we had to wait for quite sometime to get our breakfast. I had my children and my sisters children and we were so disappointed

The main area looks like its been refurbished and looks and feels really good. The bar and restaurant are open plan and feel modern. The spa is good. The gym is good but not excellent.

The rooms have not had the same refurbishment as the main hotel/bar/restaurant and look and feel dated.
