Great location and dining

Room was stuffy and needed fan or air conditioner. Opened bottle of wine at the dinner table which we did not like but was forced to pay.

very traditional, food exceptionally good, definitely fine dining.

would have preferred shower to bath. no parking at premises. local warden wouldn’t let us park just to load suitcases

We had a mini-duplex (two-story) suite with rooftop terrace and an incredible view. The suite was cozy and very clean, and the terrace was huge. Sometimes in ski resort towns the hotel rooms are boring, and look a little threadbare from heavy use and wet ski boots but this was not the case at L'Auberge du Choucas-- the rugs and bedding were in excellent condition and the room had a lot of alpine character. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and the staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Our dinner in the restaurant was a highlight of our stay- the food was incredible and the service was impeccable.

Breakfast was great, staff were friendly. Nice cosy place for the one night we stayed.

Family type of hotel… with its charms and sometimes defects. food is creative for a half board type of deal. The waiters were new and learning… charming though.

no elevator, sometimes lack of simplicity for kids.

Very comfortable classic, with an exceptional restaurant.

A good walk to ski area, better to park near the ski lifts and use car as a ski locker, many do this
