We had always wondered what it would be like to stay at El Trovador, as we have often stopped off for a drink, or something to eat, as we have wandered passed - en route to Altea.
it is great value for money, it has lovely; modern rooms and all of the staff were excellent.
Nothing really - after all - it’s advertised as a ‘Hostal’.

Lovely staff and hotel is located right next to the beach. Room was also very clean.
About a 30 min walk into Altea town and the tram timetable is not accurate.

Pristine clean room, comfortable, lovely bathroom, and had a large terrace with a beautiful view of the sea. The hotel has a nice restaurant with good food. The staff was very, very helpful! A great choice for the value and for 1st line to the sea!
Nothing, really! I would just recommend adding a hair dryer in the bathroom. The facade needs some work but the inside is remodeled and very comfortable.

The place is a hotel (not hostel). Very decent 3 star hotel with a beautiful view. We had a balcony with sea view. Super clean, very friendly stuff. Nice breakfast for 2.50

The location of the Hostal is quiet and ideally situated beside bike hire shop and minor road access to mountains.
I have stayed here 5 times so not much to report on dislikes. Maybe the 15 minute walk into Altea but we like that too

Room was spotless and well kept Bathroom was very spacious I had a side room with view of the beach from the Balcony
All the staff were very nice helpful and friendly its a good value Hotel, We walked into Altea in15 Minutes a Taxi back was €7

The bed was really comfy
The room is spotless and decorated well.
There was no hot water and when we spoke to the staff on reception they said give it 20 to 30 mins and ..guess what.. still no hot water, there has been no hot water for the entire duration of our stay and for that very reason and the fact it's on a very busy main road where you hear everything I would not recommend it or stay here again!!
