The food was great, breakfast and dinner.
Be prepared to wait for your cooked breakfast so if in a rush in the morning give yourself time. The pub caters for itself rather than than their customers, that's what i sincerely felt. No wifi most of the time so not ideal for business travellers, better suited for ramblers and cyclist without their laptops with them. Yes screen free time is great, but not possible when you are working. No food in the rooms, which was a bit odd. Little notes saying 'please use the coasters provided' just didn't make me feel relaxed in my room. I also felt uncomfortable in the bar when a drunk local decided to come over for a chat and help me with the Internet, which i had then sorted and he could have left me be but he didnt. Lastly the rooms smell very damp or something similar. When we mentioned this we were told it is something to do with the pipes. If that is the case then a little investment in a nice diffuser in the room wouldn't go a miss. We felt a little like we were in their way, which should never be the case when staying at a hotel/inn.

Only downside for breakfast was that it did not start till 8am, which would be ok for a weekend, but for a weekday I would have expected it to start at 7am.

1. Great Location, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. A nice place to take your family and friends for food and some drinks and to visit the top surrounding tourist locations in the area.

2. The Greyhound Wifi Signal was not that great in the room. You can't use your own data in your room as there is no signal (Deadspot)

Excellent pub meal and very efficient service. The ingredients were good quality and presented well.
The bed seemed budget quality. Personally I would prefer to pay a little more for a superior mattress and bedding.

it has real character and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, my husband always moans that his food isn’t hot enough, he was so impressed with the food here, it was hot and of excellent quality, beautifully cooked.

It was very comfortable, clean and all mod cons. We had dinner in the evening and breakfast and the food was excellent. Very reasonable rates for a lovely pub.

I had stayed at the Greyhound before but has undergone significant updating since then. My room, in the stable block, was all new and had every facility except a bath, something much appreciated after walking 32 miles. But the shower was very good. The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent, as was the beer. Highly recommended.

Lovely room which was spotlessly clean, and decorated to very high standard. Staff were welcoming and friendly and a member of staff even offered her services as a taxi as we were unable to book one!

Service a tad slow at breakfast, but was busy so this was somewhat understandable.

Relaxed atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very tastefully decorated & furnished and was a decent size. We had an evening meal in the pub that was really delicious. If we were down this way again we would definitely stay again.

Really lovely spot for an overnight on the way to Cornwall. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and they were very accommodating with our young children.
Only a very minor point to mention, our bed must have been up against the wall neighbouring on next doors bathroom as when the shower went on in the morning it was quite noticeable. The other room was above the pub and family mentioned it got quite loud at points, which is to be expected. Wouldn’t put us off staying again but might be a consideration for some.

Supper was wonderful and the breakfast was perfect. Thank you, our best value overnight stay in years!
We only had time for one night before traveling on!
