Marco was really friendly and gave us many really useful tips. The Guest House is two streets away from a supermarked and really central overall. The room was clean and the shower was hot. We were pleased to stay here.
Only thing that wasn't perfect was, that you had no possibility to hang towels up but thats citizism on a high level.

At first shower did not work but we were transferred to another, better room

I chose this place as it was between La Mariscal and Historic Center. Walking distance during the day and a $2 taxi ride back at night. The place itself seemed safe as I was walking around at night. Marco was helpful and a chill dude. He provided me with all info I needed. Breakfast was also great and Marco did accommodate for me when I have an early start in the day. Kitchen is fully equipped. Rooms are decent and spacious.
It was on a hill, so going out and coming back was a trek for me but I aint fit, I think it will be fine for most. Tv was small and outdated and no cable only dvds. This aint a problem for most as you are there to explore the city and country but I do like to check out different channels to see what the local people are watching. Silly I know but thats how I travel.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Its almost like a Homestay where you and other guests share one floor of the building. Marco is a nice host. Gives good advice about the area. Really comfy bed. Shared kitchen with other guests and a little shop downstairs where you can buy things to cook for dinner. Hot shower. Can walk to old town. Good breakfast as well - fruit, omelette and pastry with coffee.
Nothing :)

Great location near the historic centre and transit connections.
Windows single paned facing a busy road. Beautiful view obscured by 50 or more cables crossing it to the pole. Located on a VERY steep hill.

Marco was very helpfull. A really good bed, nice with kitchen facilities and the place was safe.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hostal. Everything was great and the host was super nice. The breakfast was complete, healthy and delicious. We had a shared kitchen and living room and we used the kitchen a lot. I love old and antique items and there were so many of them there which made me super happy to look at them. thanks a lot for everything.

Marco is the best host in Quito, very friendly and helpful, very good breakfast. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. There is a big common living room on the floor and kitchen you can use. Close to historical center and amazing Itichimbia park. Totally recommended.
Poor lightning in the room
It was always tricky to open the water in shower, to not freeze or got burn. But after a minute it works somehow

Had a good stay. Clean, good kitchen. The owner was really friendly and helpful!

Large appartment, with good size bedrooms. Large living room. Large, well equiped kitchen.
Good views from the apartment.
Good breakfast included.
Hot water with good pressure. Good wifi.
Accomodating/helpful host.
Good location next to several parks and not too far from the old town.
The truck selling gas bottles passing by several times every morning between 5:30 and 6:30 with loud music... Unfortunately nothing the host can do about it!

Very homely apartment with four guestrooms and a good-sized shared kitchen and large lounge. The decor is very dated but that adds to the charm. Marco was useful in providing tips on travel plans and things to do in Quito. The breakfast was tasty and filling – fruit salad, eggs cooked to your liking, bread/pastry, and tea/coffee. There's not a laundry service at the guesthouse, but there's a good and affordable laundrette just around the corner. Although a bit of a walk from the historic centre, it's well-located for connections with buses, making it cheap and easy to get to.
One of the lights in the kitchen didn't work so it was a little dark in there in the evenings when cooking dinner. The tap in the sink in our bathroom leaked a little. And I felt the bedroom was missing a bedside lamp.

The place was simply awesome. The owner Marco is available in the morning to answer questions and provide a great breakfast. The bedroom is spacious and clean, and the common area has a kitchen, a living room and all of the equipment to be confortable. The location is both isolated and close to amenities, restaurants and the city center. Awesome place!

Comfortable and quiet hostel with a fully stocked kitchen and good breakfast. Close to the historic city centre. Owner is really nice and gives a personal touch to your stay. He knows everything about Quito, Ecuador and Galapagos so you will have a perfect intinirary after your stay.

Marco the host is extremely kind, he collected me from the airport and changed the times of breakfast nearly daily to suit me. He was always available to help with all my questions. The room was a good size and clean and comfortable. I had the use of a balcony in the lounge and the views are amazing. Having the kitchen was great too it meant I didn’t have to eat out every night. There’s a great little shop downstairs as well. The Wi-Fi was excellent.
The electricity wires that sometimes obscured the view

It was a very familiar feeling there. Our stay was very comfortable. Marco picked us up at the airport in the middle of the night. He is very friendly and has good advices.
The place has a balcony with a great view. You have also a kitchen to cook or restaurants nearby. The historical center and many bus stations are also nearby.
I can highly recommend the place if you stay in Quito.
Just to write something, in my personal opinion there was missing a small light to read in bed in the room
4.6
The bed was soft and private bathroom. The breakfast was good, but had to be there at 8am sharp.
The location. Its situated on a steeper part of town. Have to cross some streets which can be dicey with cars frequently driving in the area. Also there are two yellow doors. The one you want is on the left of the market.

Very stylish accommodation. Nice and helpful host. Clean everywhere. I recommend.

Amazing place - interior straight out of the 1990s but that's the whole charm. Massive common area with sofas, dining table and balcony with great views across city - great kitchen too. Room was large with comfy bed and quiet area at night. Marco the owner was really helpful, offered great breakfasts and was very nice to chat to - it's a wonderful place and one of our favourites in Ecuador. Super good value too!
Nothing - it's amazing!

Quiet, cozy, clean, good location, friendly and polite owner. Nice kitchen and living room.

Everything was amazing. The owner Marco is just so helpful and is just a very nice person i general. The room was good and we almost had an entire apartment by ourselves. The kitchen was also good. It also has an amazing view over all of Quito and the beautiful Basilica del Voto Nacional church. Its also very close to Centro Historico which is nice. I would definetely recommend going here!

Super clean guesthouse/room, great location, quiet location, room is very big as well. Owner Marco super helpful.

This Guest House is hosted by Marco which is very helpful. The place it's self is close to the city center and two Metro Stops and for the value i paid it's excellent. The shower was hot and plenty of water. The open living area was great to gather with other guests their.

It's a large 4-bedrooms apartment (which I had all for myself for three days), with Marco the manager staying one floor above, where he serves a good breakfast. Large pleasant living room. Marco is very helpful with advice.

Top notch experience in Quito with a great host Marco.
Excellent location and amenities, tasty breakfasts and superb host. Marco's advice was priceless when it comes to what to see and visit in the area.
Strongly recommended.

Great place if you like to enjoy a bit more than just a room. Kitchen and living room really nice.
Breakfast healthy and tasty.
Marco made us feel like home.
Highly recommended.
Nothing.

The room and bathroom were nice, although the shower came with a little trick for hot water (which is noted in the house rules but took me a day to figure out).
Marco is a nice guy, who likes to have a chat, he made me breakfast in his apartment (just upstairs) the first day as well. Maria takes care of the cleaning and does so nicely.
The location is good, with a view of the Basilica, and some small restaurants not too far away, but it is a bit uphill, so you could use a good physique.
The mattress in my room sagged a bit on one side. Although I slept well enough on the other side (it's big enough for that), it could use replacement.

I’ve already been there a couple of times, I really like the place because of the view and the space, I love that you can use the space freely to cook or the living room just to chill the apartment is technically yours since the owner lives upstairs, he’s very nice and thoughtful.
Just the hallways at night, they are a little dark and I’m a scaredy-cat so I get a little nervous haha.
