we have been staying at Dales View House regularly for a number of years now and it really does feel like a home away from home for me and my kids. Comfortable, peaceful, warm and plenty of space for 5 of us at a very reasonable price.

the location was perfect as my family live on the same street hence why I booked it, I had to come up from Cornwall for a family medical emergency the space in the house was great even though we only used it for sleeping in the views out the back were lovely

the level of cleanliness was very poor, there was food crumbs on the kitchen counters, a squashed grape in the front room rug, hairs in the bathroom, the furniture was covered in paint splatter

Left something behind and owner refused to send it back even though I offered to pay p&p. Never experienced a letting that won't send things back before. Slight condescension if you dare ask something mildly covered in the description. Host not warming or friendly. Floors, sofas, worktops have paint splatter everywhere which could easily be removed. Small kitchen. Parking not great unless u have a smart car or motorbike. Definitely not for an unconfident driver. Stairs are a hike.

Everything we could have wanted in one place. Felt like a home from home.

Car parking was difficult on street had to park the car in another street on one occasion and the TV poor quality picture and poor sound quality difficult to hear. We objected to being told to remove our shoes which were perfectly clean .The code for the key lock box was texted to me by the owner of the property as promised so not able to access the property when we arrived fortunately a neighbour knew the code after we had spent an hour trying to raise the owner.

for us the location was not so good as my husband is a poor walker so a bit to far from centre.ideal for a large family enough beds for 8 people.barnoldswick a lovely place.

Great value for money nice area had everything we needed. Beds was comfy and plenty for all of family.

Kitchen was a bit smaller than expected not as clean as I thought it would be. Found it hard to sleep in master bedroom with flashing lights from Internet router my partner slept fine thooug. Other than that still good value for money.

The location is great. It is less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of the town. The property is located on a quiet road with nice views. The description of the property is very accurate. My kids loved the room in the attic, very spacious and comfortable. We had a terrible weather, two storms, cold and rain but the heating worked perfectly and the fire places made us feel cosy. Despite the bad weather we managed to have a great time. Skipton Castle is a lovely place to visit whatever the weather.

We had a great stay, loved the fire in the living room, heating was good and good powerful hot shower. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely village with great restaurants and bars within walking distance from the house. Surrounded by great Dales walks.

The kitchen is quite small if you had a full house but was perfect for the 2 of us.

Great house, would return.

It had everything we needed. Toiletries, towels, kitchen essentials. The central heating warmed the house quickly. The christmas decorations and bed spreads were a nice touch too. It was clean and tidy.

It was a shame that the house is not pet friendly as we had just adopted a rescue dog and had to leave him at home with family. We would have preferred not to leave him, however it was our first Christmas with our first Grandchild and already cut the trip short due to this.

Great location to explore the area if you are there for leisure. The furnishings are basic but it contains everythng you'll need

Limited parking on very steep street, required reversing in or out of cul de sac. Unused to sleeping on divan bed/ sprung mattress, but all bedding clean.

Value and everything we needed apart we couldn’t find a hairdryer

That we couldn’t find the hairdryer but we didn’t even ask so I am sure it was there!

When I arrived, the house was cold. It would be nice, if the house would be warm, when you arrive at such a time of the year. Then it was only explained, that you have to switch on a button, which I did, but nothing happened. A second button was supposed to be switched. To get it warm, I also had to put the water temperature up. Would be nice, if this is explained. It took me a while to figure it all out, being not familiar with the system. The host seems to be very concerned, that you don't leave a lot of dirt in the house. Several times you receive an email plus several hints in the house, that the guests are supposed to take off the shoes.

The house was clean and not too far from the wedding we were attending, everything we needed was there, we could not fault everything else and would stay their again.

The stairs - they had very narrow steps, we are tall people and found we had to come down sideways and we did have a few banged heads too, not easy for our older relative as they are steep too

The facilities in the house were excellent. The road was quiet and easy to park. The neighbours we saw were friendly. It was excellent for walking. It was all we needed for our short break.

It needs a little more attention such as paint work-seating- flooring as there are paint splashes on chairs and floors. The items that have been painted have been done so to a poor standard, all in all it is a good house but a little poor with aesthetics and needs serious attention. Mattresses could do with toppers or updating as springs stick up. Bathroom door needs a lock and new runners as it doesn’t lock and there are gaps. Booking.com completely messed up the booking and double booked which is nothing to do with the owner who had run around trying to fix booking.com muck up.
