The room was dreadful and bore no resemblance to the photos. The explanation provided was that since each unit is individually owned, there is no control over the appearance of each room.

It was a well laid out pool and grass area, well fenced and close to the beach. The on-site bistro was great for lunch and dinner and weekend breakfast, the food was tasty. Parking was easy and the complex was clean, although a bit dated. Good value.

The bistro opens for lunch and dinner every day but is only open for breakfast on weekends even in school holidays - limited breakfast days were not helpful for us as travellers. The staff recommended a small cafe across the street, it was very busy and took 50 minutes to get a basic egg breakfast. We were leaving for the airport so we didn't have time to look elsewhere.

there was mould in the room on the blinds and in the bathroom, the bathroom shower was not working properly and the carpet was not cleaned, it appeared it was not vacuumed. Will not stay here again due to the health hazards.

We were there to attend a friend's funeral. Having a staff member asking us about joining their club right at reception wasn't greatly appreciated. (I know, they weren't aware of our situation, but. . .) Having to climb into a bathtub/spa bath to have a shower was difficult, as I was still recovering from knee surgery. With two bathrooms, it would have been better to have one without and over the bath shower.

Very good hotel with outdoor heated pool and beach access. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early around 10AM. The reception staff checked if the room was ready and allowed us to check in almost immediately. On the day of check out, we were allowed to sit in the pool area after checking out, while we were waiting for our pickup. Overall great customer service. Location is good with a few cafes and a Chinese restaurant just across the road. There is pub/restaurant just next to the hotel which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There was nothing that we didn't like. Will not hesitate to stay here again and will certainly recommend to friends and relatives.

Room was newly refurbished but quite austere. Minimal space to store clothes so it felt very cluttered and uncomfortable in that respect. Ironing board just leaning against a wall. It felt quite unfinished. Blinds had wide spaces between them so morning light streamed through. Little privacy as there was only blinds- up or completely down. Pillows were very soft. Didn’t really have a comfortable place to sit. Bar stools or sit in an upright two seater that was fixed to the wall and sort of ran into the high bar at the window . Bed head was solid timber and hit you in the back of the head if trying to sit up on the bed. Not a place to relax! Strange bifold door into the bathroom with no handles. Plates and bowls in the cupboard but no cutlery if you wanted to use them. Just felt unfinished and not enough thought into comfort despite the modern styling. No long mirror in the room. I

Asked to be notified when room was ready to perhaps check in a bit earlier. No notification received at all. Room was really small. Bathroom a bit small and dated.

So much! Gave us the wrong apartment which we only found out after another couple walked in Then after sorting that out the keys they gave us wouldn’t come out of the lock, then the next set wouldn’t open the door. Apartment was filthy!

it was too noisey, we could here conversations and other noises coming through rooms or ventilation day and night.

Door was broken, shower was tiny, room wasn’t anything like the photos depicted on the website, the carpet was probably 20 years old and coming off and the room very small. Their was also a musty smell.

Room was poorly maintained and poorly equipped. Overpriced for what it was.

The heated pool was the star and fact that you could order everything from the restaurant takeaway made it even better

The blinds in the bedroom are not blockout and make the apartment hot, no air con in bedroom. The bbq on the top level hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like years - when I asked about it at reception they stated that it wasn’t apart of the accommodation - yet it is private and accessible- for nearly $500 a night the apartment is tired and run down

room was very small and dated for the price. Check in was late and we had to wait, staff did offer free drinks vouchers. Restaurant closed at 9, food was ok. Only one roll of toilet paper which was weird. aircon was very weird.

Great hotel in perfect location. The pool is heated, very spacious and well maintained. Room with ocean/ pool view is amazing. The Surf Air restaurant has great meals and a good variety of drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always worth a start at beautiful Ramada in Marcoola.

Great location, so close to beach with lots of shops around. Great pool & restaurant. Our unit was perfect! Recently renovated, beach view! We all loved it.

I would like to be able to choose which unit I want to book for next time

Firstly we stayed in the older hotel rooms at the front overlooking the airport. These room have had one renovation since their initial build. They are in line for a renovation soon. The remainder of the stay we moved to a self contained one bedroom unit in the newer section. This was good . The on site restaurant and bar have very value for money meals and beverages. The pool is a welcome provision after a warm day on the nearby beach. Across the road from the hotel you will find a nice assortment of coffee shops and quick meals.

The lack of air conditioners in the bedroom areas. The Sunshine coast can get very humid and we had to depend on the air conditioner in the lounge and a pedestal fan in the bedroom. The unit's kitchen needed more pots and pans provided in order to use the oven or microwave. The tvs were difficult to use.

Entire apartment needed refurbishment. Air conditioning noise from ducting over the main bedroom was unbearable. No sleep! No air conditioning in the rooms. Vent not working in second bathroom...All the issues were tactfully reported to the manager. We have had no further correspondence from him. Pool area did not have sufficient seating for patrons.

We liked the swimming pool, proximity to the beach, trails for jogging, helpful and understanding staff.

There was a terrible situation that happened to us during our stay at Ramada Marcoola Beach. We had a room 1207 B with a shared corridor with another room 1207 A. A relatively young woman stayed next to our room, and her behavior was beyond inappropriate. The first evening and night, she was walking loudly back and forth, slamming doors and by 11 PM, she started listening and singing along to terrible loud music. The next night, around 2 A.M., we woke up from screaming coming from her room. She was arguing loudly with a man, who was yelling at her, "YOU B... I WILL KILL YOU." They both were badly intoxicated by drugs. That night, we smelled poisonous fumes coming from her room to ours, and my partner collapsed on the bathroom floor, losing consciousness. It was the most horrifying situation seeing your partner almost dying before your eyes. I called hotel security, complained about the noise and domestic violence going on next door. A security officer came promptly. The woman next door opened the door and said they were fine, but the security officer smelled a terrible odor from her room. I showed her the video footage I took behind the door of our room, capturing the man and woman fighting and screaming. She couldn't believe her ears. The security officer reported the incident and moved us to another room far away from the intoxicated couple. We couldn't fall asleep due to being so agitated. It took almost 3 hours for my partner to fully recover from being poisoned by the narcotics coming from the next-door woman's room. That was a hellish night. We stayed in room 1207 B, while the troubled next-door woman stayed in room 1207 A. We stayed in the hotel from February 8th to February 11th, 2024. Other than that terrible ordeal, everything was quite fine. We wanted to thank staff of the hotel for being understanding and attentive. We loved the Sunshine Coast so much 🌞, and we will surely come back
