Baño con ducha caliente funcionando
Aire acondicionado sin control y siempre a full que no te dejara dormir por las noches. Las camas son muy incomodas. La cerradura de la puerta deficiente, en ocasiones funciono y en otras no.

Food was pretty good. Property is quite beautiful. Room was big, clean, and bed was super comfy.
The staff was quite unaccommodating. I arrived a little late in the evening, maybe like 7-8pm which is like midnight in Nicaragua. When I arrived I wanted to book through their website but it was saying there were no rooms... but booking showed 3 rooms left. I understand booking and the property don't always sync up and I have had this problem before. But this is a giant property with hundreds of rooms it surely wasn't completely full on a week day... so I arrived at the security wouldn't let us enter and said they were full... So I just made the reservation on booking and paid quite a bit more than their price on their website. So now they let me into the property I get to reception, and they say the type of room I booked was full, but they did have other better rooms available and upgraded us to that room instead. Why they didn't just give us this room when I arrived and asked for availability is beyond me, I often don't understand the business practices in some countries almost like they don't want to make money. But as big of a brand as Barcelo, you would think someone there would have some sense. This whole ordeal took almost two hours. Something that easily could have just been finished in 20 mins if the staff had just offered me the room that was completely empty and available when I arrived. I hope someone in management sees this and addresses this poor customer service.

Very clean.
They gave us a double bed when we were a couple and when I request the king size bed they didn't want to change it or helps us and the front desk manager denied and were very defensive not flexible and kept telling us that was our mistake when it wasn't.

El comportamiento de los huéspedes del Bungalow vecino, que trataron de abrir la puerta interior varias veces, interrumpiendo nuestra comodidad, mi sugerencia es que el hotel ponga algún cartelito indicando no abrir esa puerta (interior) con el propósito de que se respete el espacio de otros huéspedes, ya que si lo hacen de manera directa se sabe que hay personas maleducadas y supuestamente delicadas, pero no se miden en ese tipo de comportamientos, vulgar e irrespetuoso hacia a los demás y peor en perjuicio del hotel quienes se esfuerzan al máximo por brindarte una experiencia única y confortable

la playa y la zona eran bonitas
Me estafaron en la tienda ubicada en la zona de la piscina grande. Tuve que pagar 700 córdobas por unos snacks (Pringles). Me quejé al hotel pero pensaron que era un estúpido por pagar. Cuando llegamos no recibimos información de cómo funciona todo y de que era posible comprar comida a la carta.

The location was gorgeous! Montelimar beach was wonderful with excellent swimming and water quality. The value was excellent for an all-inclusive. Food and drinks are easily accessible, although you have to pay a minimal price for a few drink options (for example, shots of hard liquor were 1$). The hotel and bungalows were nice. The resort felt safe and secure.
The food at the buffet was good but not excellent. We were also disappointed that the other restaurants were closed. For some odd reason, silverware and drinks were only available when servers brought them to you and there were not enough servers. Therefore, we sometimes found ourselves waiting for silverware for minutes after we had gotten our food. Servers never came by more than once for beverages. It would have been nice if guests could have helped themselves to silverware and at least certain drinks.

The restaurant, Specially the Guy who was in charge of the serving who called him self chef, needs to tune himself down. Needs to know when to slowdown and when to tune up himself.
Cutlery and salt and pepper shakers were rusted.
The guy with the chef hut needs to learn how to treat coworkers and guess with respect

Process to checkout too long , with too many steps… towels are an issue, to get them and give them back…. lacking signs to checkout…lunch scheduled at 12:30 pm after you check out at 12:00pm… staff do not provide enough info when checking in or how to find your room……

I’ve been to Montelimar before and stayed in the actual hotel, and it was clean. this time around we stayed in the bungalow and I was not impressed, AC was leaking water, the bathroom was clean, but a ton of crawling bugs, and it seemed like any of the walls were being kept up with. please start keeping up with the handy work on those bungalows because it was not appealing and also the pool had a dirty stain around it. Again, this was just my experience this 2nd time around. The food was superb, coffee strong and amazing, the snack bar was really good as well, the outdoors is just beautiful so much greenery to see, the beach… all amazing, but that bungalow get it together lol

the food, the atmosphere, so dirty, I mean nasty, a lot cockroaches in the rooms, the towels stink , both, pool towels and the rooms towels , pool was disgusting, so disappointing for the price. The only great in that place was the staff, they are amazing. I’m not recommend this place, don’t waste your money on this place .

Nice beach.
Bed linens were not changed from the last guest. They were smelly, wrinkled and stained.
Bathrooms needed proper cleaning and they were blocked again.
The rooms has broken furniture and the rooms have not been renovated for decades.

Customer service staff was very nice and welcoming. Could stay after check out for lunch and enjoy more time until 3pm.
Alarm didnt go off when earthquake took place in the middle of the night. Pina coladas were like watered down with alcohol.

Beaches, staff, beverages...all very good! Shuttle drivers had excellent service and servers at the Oceana restaurant and pool bar were above and beyond, exceptional. Reyna needs a raise!
WiFi was nonexistant in the rooms, telephones in the rooms didn't work at all, the AC and lamps in one room didn't work and we had to change rooms. Hotel managers should hire help to clean up hotel grounds for trash.
