I loved the Zen like atmosphere oozing from the entire property. My favourite is the communal area on the first floor with the picture perfect window view. Marrakesh room room is the best. It is worth paying the extra for the rooms with a balcony.

Valerie was definitely a highlight. She is such a warm and caring person who goes out of her way to help you out and share information about the area. Suzette who cooked the breakfast and looked after the rooms was also a delight every morning. It was a pleasure relaxing in the garden (we spent a whole day away from the crowds just relaxing and reading) and we even got to see Steve the hummingbird. Valerie suggested a brilliant driver, Isobel, who really took care of us. Although it is away from the main area there is a restaurant next door which serves delicious escovitch fish (red snapper).

The B&B is surrounded by a beautiful green garden. The breakfast is served on a little terrace, just amazing and delicious. The owner Valerie is an angel. She is so helpful, honest and real and absolutely understands the guests needs. I felt sick and she cooked a tee with herbs from the garden for me. We loved Mynth Retreat and can reccomend it 100% and would come back at any time.

The Retreat is an oasis and super close to the airport. However you are a bit away from Restaurants, Shops etc. But it's still possible to walk there in like 20 min or get a driver.

Everything! The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Breakfast every morning which was just delicious. Really well located - a pretty easy 20 minute walk down to the strip, mere minutes by taxi. Highlight without a doubt was Valerie, Whitney and the rest of the staff who made us feel so relaxed and welcome! Thank you so much for a brilliant Christmas stay - we'll definitely be back!!

We loved our stay at Mynt Retreat! Valerie was so helpful and kind. She went above and beyond to help us get acclimated to her country, plan our vacation, and getting around safely. Breakfast was phenomenal- highly recommend the Jamaican breakfast. Mynt is on the side a mountain with beautiful views of the ocean from the patio. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Peppas restaurant next door had really good authentic Jamaican food for a fair price. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It is a 20 minute walk from most major activities like Doctors Cave Beach and the hip strip. At night, I would definitely take the taxis though because of traffic and lack of street lights. There used to be a free shuttle service once a day to the beach, but had to be discontinued due to rising transportation costs. It is now $15 a trip, taxis will ask for $20, but you can usually negotiate a better fare. During the day we usually walked.

Ideal location, 5 minute drive from the airport and 5 minute drive to the hip strip. The property was clean, relaxing and felt like a little retreat. Our room was spacious, both air con and fan, comfortable beds. The manager went out of her way to help us. My favourite thing was the restaurant that was connected to the hotel by a short path called peppas, great vibe, food, music and rum punch at reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again.

The water pressure isn't great but I did manage to wash my hair which is long with no problem.

The level of customer service in the morning was lovely. The room and view was wonderful.

The man the greeted at the locked gate when we arrived was unfriendly ad unwelcoming. The water pressure and temperature was really poor.

We just Loved the experience there. The staff was amazing, food was delicious, the ocean view was perfect, it felt like home to us. We will most definitely return to this magical Jewel!!!

The location was good and staff was very friendly and helpful.

There was a little miscommunication about the airport pickup. Room air conditioning was not working. Tangier room was noisy (near main road).

Very nice B&B and very nice owner. We got an upgrade to a room with sea view (Fez), so nice! Great restaurant next door. Delicious breakfast (choice between American and Jamaican breakfast). During the day there is a free shuttle to the beach. However, we did not use it because we walked along the street. The owner will be happy to organize cabs for the places you want to visit.

- The street is very noisy - just for general information: cabs are expensive. A ride to Hip Strip (5 minutes ride / 2 - 3 km) costs USD 15 each way. Ride to Tropical Bliss Beach (7 km) USD 25/way.

Fantastic very big room with comfortable beds. Interior design - with a look attention on the details is very impressive. Breakfast and the view from the balcony were amazing. Very good location - just few minutes from Doctor Cave Beach. Amazing and very helpful staff.

Mynt Retrat is located next to to very crowdy road - with huge traffic all day long - so the only one thing that was changing overall impression was the noise from the street - especially during the breakfast on the balcony with amazing food and beautiful view.

We’ve stayed here previously and loved it. This stay was not the same as we remembered. The property needs Maitinenance and our room was near a popular restaurant. We heard music late at night. Our bathroom shower tiles were coming up off the floor and the lighting in the room was dim.

The home felt so serene, with so much attention to detail. It was the perfect place to relax while in close proximity to the beach and the airport. The Jamaican breakfast each morning with fresh fruit was truly perfect. Thank you to the staff for an amazing stay, will definitely be returning!

I had an amazing time at Mynt Retreat and can recommend it to everyone who travels to Montego Bay. The room, the breakfast and especially the service was exceptional. I felt very welcomed.

Breakfast was delicious. We did the traditional Jamaican breakfast one morning, then pancakes, eggs, and sausage the next. The staff, especially Valarie, was friendly and welcoming. All around great experience.

The water pressure for showers was not what I am use to at home but I would hardly consider that a deterrent for staying at Mynt Retreat. I have already recommended them to family and friends. My family and I plan to stay there again in the future.

The property was beautiful! Very cozy and zen like! The garden outside was serene. Ms. Valerie the owner is a gem!!! She felt like a family member very insightful, warm, and welcoming! She made our stay amazing! She coordinated with her driver to get us to the beach and rafting! We will definitely be back!!!

Valerie was a most gracious host and prepared a lovely breakfast. I would return simply to experience her kindness again. I sat for several hours each day in the lovely, shady garden.

Only two things: the bathroom toilet was leaking water, and the house overlooks a busy road that is very, very noisy. I had to use the air conditioning to block out the sound, but next time I would request a room on the south-facing side of the villa, away from the road. g
