This is the *perfect* place to stay in Montanita, especially if you're a surfer. The location is ideal -- far enough from the downtown that it's peaceful and quiet, yet close enough that you can still go out to party if you want. It's located directly in front of the main surf spot, with a bar/restaurant overlooking the break. It's a good surf spot for both beginners and experienced surfers. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a lovely shared terrace, and the pool and hot tub and general ambience are all great. The GM Chincho, receptionist Lizbeth, bartender Cristhian, and all the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and easy-going -- they were constantly making sure I had everything I needed. Chincho also has a great selection of surfboards for rent at reasonable prices. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. Long story short, this is the place you want to be. I plan to return with friends and rent out the whole house.

Taps in the shower need replacing

I liked the locationbeing close to the point and close to the yoga studio and it was only about an 8 minute walk to town. Nice hot shower!!!

Not their fault but there was construction on the road and they were upgrading the hotel so their was some work going on, However the work will only help the hotel so that's a good thing.

Top location, just a couple footsteps from the beach. Good spot if you want to surf. Owner is very helpful and easygoing. Hot shower with good pressure. Fast internet. Aircondition worked perfectly.

The owner is amazing and it’s right in front of the surf break and a short walk to town . The beach goes for miles.

Neighbor dogs are a bit annoying but there are dogs everywhere in Ecuador so would likely be dogs everywhere else too.

Location is perfect, 30 seconds to the beach, internet is really really fast, and the staff was really friendly had a blast in my short vacations.

Mosquitos was a boomer, but nothing you can’t fix with some repellent.
