Nice place

Beautiful olde worlde pub with a warm, friendly welcome and super, clean and comfortable room! This was an overnight stay enroute home ... we had a great evening meal and our veggie breakfast was wonderful! My thanks to the owner , too, who went out of her way to answer a query I had after we had left.

Close to town, good size car park

Pub not open until 6pm so had to ring bell several times then phone the pub to check in. Had to find another bar to drink at while waiting for friends.

The village of Berkeley is pleasant with a good selection of small village stu kites, etc.

There was a foul, sewage smell in the bathroom.

My wife found the stairs difficult.we were not shown a lift.

Excellent breakfast, indeed the food in general was of a good quality with good potion sizes but a tad expensive for pub grub.

The only down side was that the room was not serviced during our sdtay.
