Weather

Picturesque surroundings, very friendly welcome at the reception and during breakfast. The breakfast was very good and quite rich and coffee was excellent. Main destinations like Varese center, Milano, famous lakes were not far away.

It was too hot in the room. The blankets were too thick and warm, given that the air-conditioner did not allow to set up the temperature lower than 22,5 degrees. We would be willing to have max 18-20 degrees overnight. For breakfast we were missing vegetables. It would be good to have some tomatoes and cucumbers.

Lovely location right on the lake.

Town is very quite, but only stopped for one night.

I appreciated a lot the location close to the lake, the staff was very polite, the room was large and comfortable with hard mattress. Abundant breakfast with variety of goods. Everything was in a silence and relaxing place.

The room was comfortable and modern if a little characterless. Breakfast was fine. Cannot rate restaurant as we ate out in town. Nice location right by Lake Varese.

Nice Hotel with a beautiful Lake/Mountain view. Private parking and very good breakfast

The hotel, located on the lake-side, is nice, the staff is friendly. The room with it's interior and it's spacious bath-room is nice, we felt comfortable.

Breakfast until 10 am, but the croissants often was out shortly after 9, the toaster is switched off from time to time to save electricity, so the toasts won't become crispy (the hotel should use another type of toaster). Our room was located above the bar, sometimes very noisy. We were missing furniture on balcony to enjoy the evenings there.

Great location for those looking for nature around. Isolated and nothing around but the lake and the park. A close bus stop.

Nice rooms and location near lake

Our room was on the first floor; in the evening there was a wedding party on the ground floor and the noise of the music was very strong until late at night

Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom. A minute walk from the lake. Restaurant was closed for covid so we didn't try it.

Location is splendid. Good beds. Great restaurant.

For us Vecchia Riva is a perfect place for a stay-over on our way to Umbria. - A nice hotel and restaurant with professional and friendly staff in a charming surrounding. And all for a decent price. - We've been here many times and would always come back.
