small no fan in bedroom

location was okay

room didn’t have air conditioning (was like a sauna at night), towels only got changed on my last day (day 5), bedding never got changed once! my pull out bed was half missing so lucky I didn’t have my family their or if not would of been a disaster.

Near beach and restaurants. On the flat. Deep pool.

No shallow end. Not for very young kids no kids pool but it didn’t bother us as our teenagers are great swimmers

The swimming pool and surrounding area was excellent and spotlessly clean- staff worked so hard every day to make it spotless. An amazing cleaning staff and they were so polite. The sun loungers were clean and comfy! The Taj Palace Indian restaurant at the property was fantastic - staff were amazing and so friendly. Their food was delicious for both adults and children- nothing was a problem! Just so welcoming and made us feel like we were on holidays!! The pool bar was great also. Cocktails to die for and so reasonably priced. Again the staff were brilliant and nothing was a problem. Happy hour at the property also was a big bonus. The staff at reception were helpful and when we arrived there was no fan available. That evening we brought the issue to the attention to the staff at reception and the following day they gave us the fan from reception until the problem was rectified by the maintenance man. They also managed to eventually locate a big fan for the bedroom and no extra cost. Also, the receptionist had no problem on the last day of our stay to organise a taxi back to the airport for us. She booked it on our behalf and it was exactly how she had described it would be. She also asked us how our stay was and really appreciated our feedback. We had requested a ground floor apartment back in February and that is exactly what we got which was amazing!! Location is five stars!! Walk to every where. No hills- just perfect! Kitchen facilities were great with plenty of hot water and a good family sized fridge freezer.

No washing up liquid or soap or sponges - you have to buy everything!! There were 3 sachets of gel and shampoo and that was it! Please dont use covid as an excuse - how do hotels do it?! No lifeguard at the pool - dangerous for small kids or adults who can’t swim (as we witnessed) as there is no shallow end. There is a rule about reserving seats at the pool area but it was happening every morning. No one enforced the rule. It didn’t bother us as we went out most days but if you love the pool, the rules done apply so get your towel out or you’ll be on the ground! You can only access the building/grounds through the front door although there are other ways into the property they are locked. This is inconvenient when coming from the beach or a walk and you have kids that are tired walking long distances but the other side of this is that it does keep the property much more secure having less points of access..so it’s a pro and con situation. No proper air conditioning..The apartment was so stuffy and it was so hard to sleep at night even with the ceiling fan - which did very little for air circulation and the room fan. A proper air conditioning system (not a ceiling fan) is needed in the apartments particularly during weather temperatures of 28-31 degrees. We had the pool door and windows open at night and there was still no air circulating. I was also speaking to a guest who was booked in one of the suites that are supposed to have air conditioning and they also said it wasn’t proper AC as one would expect - cold air keeping the apartment cold inside...This needs to be looked at by the property management company. The Marina Bay View (a different accommodation property) has proper air con in their apartments - a family member of mine was booked in there during our stay at Portanovo and the difference was unbelievable!

I telephoned Porto Nova and requested a room in a quiet situation.We were allocated a room above a busy/noisy bar,oppositeabusy taxi rank and only a few yards from a busy street!!!

Everything..the location was excellent. .the apartments were immaculate..

No air condition...

The location was fantastic, close to everything. We stayed at first floor and could walk directly from our balcony to the pool. The room was big and comfortable. Some old furnitures, but they worked fine for us. Beds were good.

We cannot think of anything - the service was good - the reception was helpful. We loved our holiday.

The staff were lovely, location perfect. Apartment clean and comfortable but basic.

We were on the fourth floor and had to come down 2 flightsIin lift then walk along to other end of apartment s then down in lift 2 more floors ,all because door was closed at other end apparently due to covid thought it was a bit of a joke. And lifts were broke half of the time.

Not value for money charged, balcony too small, too long a walk to apartment, Wanted 100Euro to open second door nearer to apartment. Very disappointed with our stay.

Friendly and courteous service at reception. Our preference is for sea swimming both at Playa de Puerto Rico on our door step (early morning) and Playa Amadores (later in the day) and we enjoy the exercise of the 3km walk to Playa Amadores. Hence the property location is ideal for us. There are also a number of very good restaurants nearby including Nube, Don Quixote and Costa Mar. The Wigwam bar is also close by and recommended if you wish to enjoy a quiet drink in a pleasant atmosphere - very good staff.

We were allocated room 151 which is at the very end on the left as you face the property and the room that is furthest away from reception. It is possibly one of the least desirable rooms in the property as it is noisy due to proximity to the road and does not get any morning sun. In addition due to Covid restrictions the second entrance door closest to 151 was locked so to gain access we had to walk all the way to the other end of the property to reception. We requested a change but were advised that the Apartments were fully booked. We understand and appreciate that due to Covid capacity restrictions there was no alternative room available but nonetheless the location of the room was a big challenge for us.

location next to beach , bars and restaurants is excellent. The heated pool is a very good size

No airconditioning so I would not stay in the sumer months. As no aircon we had to have the windows open at night and the apartment block is located on a semi busy road so road noise could be heard early morning

Location excellent

No WiFi for entire week. No tv for 3 days. Phone dead in room. No information on any of the appliances. Cold water first morning. Fridge thermostat didn't work Furniture on terrace all marked and umbrella grubby and too heavy to move around. Such a pity as could be lovely.

Location.

Do not accept a room above number 15 (115/215/315) above restaurants, smells and fumes all day, loud fans, loud people, workers in back alley scrubbing pans. 0800 fork lift truck running up and down, more banging and clanking. Nightmare. Apartment classed as a junior suite, laughable. Small tired apartment, small balcony. Basic facilities. All in all poor. Used to be nice 10 years ago. Not for us any more.

Cleanliness & location

I had a injury to my leg on arrival ..there was only one accessible door at the other end of the complex .. I was on 4th floor .. there was another door that they had permanently closed which was silly and made no sense . i asked the receptionist could they allow me access to the door ( as some long term guests ) had a key. i was told no my request couldn’t be accommodated … it was a long walk back to your apartment with injured leg or not with only one side of complex open …

location of the property was 10/10. balcony over looking the marina and the supermarket and beach less then 5 mins walk away.

the property needs air con. we found the room a little stuffy. even a fan in the room would make a difference.
