Simple contactless check-in.
Old house is very charming but still clean and modernised where necessary. Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was better than we were expecting. Dining and lounge area downstairs also nice. Location great for parking, and walkable to Ballina town.
We made the right choice staying here instead of paying double for something worse in busy Byron Bay.

Die Lage aufgrund der Nähe zum Fluss und den dortigen Restaurants.
Leider steht dieses wunderschöne Haus an einer viel befahrenen Straße (sehr laut). Die Veranda war von allen Zimmern erreichbar und dadurch war es,wenn Gäste sich dort aufhielten, unvermeidbar auch noch spät Abends Gespräche zu hören. Das dortige Mobiliar (Ratanmöbel) konnte kaum genutzt werden, da sich die Farbe überall löste. Andere Sitzgelegenheit waren verschmutzt. Die Gemeinschaftsküche.....natürlich hat jeder Gast ein eigenes Hygieneverständnis, aber wir sind der Meinung, dass es hier öfter mal kontrolliert werden sollte. Beispiel: Schwämme und Waschbürsten sollten stets einen neuen Eindruck vermitteln und nicht aussehen als wäre sie schon ewig in Gebrauch. Auch Schränke in der Küche sollten mal gereinigt werden.
Das Badezimmer war unsere Begriffe nicht gründlich gereinigt.

Lovely old residence in excellent condition close to the Ballina CBD. Very clean room with comfortable bed and very little outside noise. Easy check-in

The location was great as we could walk a block to eat. Access to tea/coffee, toast etc was appreciated although a little confusing as to what could be used ie TimTams in the fridge. Downstairs lounge area great to chat with family.
The mattress was not very comfortable. The room was small so difficult to relax and too cold to sit downstairs after dinner.

Riversleigh House was a very interesting stay in Ballina. We felt like we were the only people in the house in the morning when we woke up and enjoyed the luxurious couch in the loungeroom and eating breakfast at the grand wooden table. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and cosy. The power point in the bathroom needs some repair work. The communication from staff was clear and kind. Great stay. Thanks :)

Beautifully maintained heritage home. Room was charming comfortable and clean. Lovely nights sleep and great for a short stay in Ballina. warm and helpful greeting from manager Erica. she made us feel “at home” immediately. Only few rooms and shared kitchen which was clean and well appointed. Not used to shared facility but such a small number of residents, I never felt awkward using the kitchen. Beautiful balcony wraps around upper floor. Lovely spot to take in the quiet end of town and view to River.
couldn’t find an iron but I’m sure there was one. I know if I’d been desperate I could have called Erica.

One of the best B&B’s that we have stayed at. Gorgeous historical building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a tv in each room and your own bathroom with shower), and high quality service.

it was so very impersonal. We NEVER set eyes on the hosts. when the woman who arrived at the same time as us rang the host she yelled at her on the phone at such a volume we heard every word It was nothing short of disgraceful and extremely inhospitable.

Erica, the manager was so lovely and accommodating. It was a hot day and the air conditioner was on and there was breakfast making facilities which was a bonus. I even left my phone charger there and it was no effort for them to mail it to me. Riversleigh house is beautifully kept and I can't wait to go back. The location is excellent close to Ballina shops.
The only thing I can say here is that the hot water tap in the kitchen area should have a sign saying"boiling water". But asides from that little thing it is all great.

Beautifully appointed period property.Very large room. High ceilings, extremely comfortable beds & we had a private balcony. The kitchen (across the hall) had everything. More than I was expecting with access to the enormous lounge with very big tv. A short walk into town. A truly comfortable room in a lovely property.

Last weekend we had a 2-night stay at Riversleigh House. What a beautifully kept house, very clean and tidy. The room was beautiful with a balcony and a view. There was a fireplace, it was a large room with a king bed, a fireplace, plenty of storage space and the bathroom was equipped with a hairdryer. There was a sitting/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen for us to use with free tea and coffee available. Its in a central location in Ballina, you can walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. I really cannot fault Riversleigh house and the manager Erica was lovely. We will definitely be back.

The accommodation is beautiful and we loved the atmosphere of the property. Sitting out on the verandah with a drink in hand relaxing watching the sunset. We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely place. Staff (probably owners) were very kind and accommodating. As the room was available, they prepared it for our early arrival even though we were only expecting to store our luggage. Good location in Ballina. very spacious rooms!
Would’ve love another comforter as we got cold during the night. Walls are thin, but it is expected as it is a historical building and comes with the charm!
