We had a wonderful time in Annecy at this beautiful apartment. The market was just outside our door Sunday, Tuesday and Friday so we bought special things there and cooked most nights. We loved the view of the canal out the window and the quiet, peaceful evenings! We swam in the lake, went on a boat cruise and rode around the lake 44km on hire bikes. So many beautiful shops and food and they were just setting up the Christmas market stalls!! Wish we could’ve seen them in action! The apartment is so comfortable and has every little thing you need! Coffee, tea, vinegar,oil, salt, pepper etc. We were sad to leave! Thank you for our beautiful French alp holiday!

Lovely apartment. Very nice and helpful owner. Wonderful location right in pedestrian area and close to shops and restaurants. Nicely appointed and providing everything one needs for a comfortable stay.

The access was an issue. Having to park 200 m away in a park garage and climbing 3 historical staircases with luggage was a surprise. We managed anyway and the apartment made up for the effort. It will be fine for young and limber travelers, but for us old folks with heavy suitcases it was difficult. However, the owner was nice enough to help carry the suitcases up at arrival and down at departure.

The property was well presented, with modern and stylish appointments. The owners were very accommodating.

The antiquated stairs and lack parking are to be considered but should not be a deterrent.

The apartment itself is fantastic! It’s cosy, clean and comfortable, with a great view of the canal. The location is perfect, an easy walk from the train station, and the lake, restaurants and attractions are really accessible. It was easy to cook in the apartment and the bed is comfortable. I appreciated the amenities, such as the washing machine and Netflix!

Only the stairs to get to the apartment, they are very steep and difficult with a suitcase.

Modern & exceptionally well-designed apartment in ancient building overlooking river in center of old village

The location was wonderful and central, but not easily accessible by car. The unit itself was lovely, modern and clean. The view from the window was a special treat.

The listing notes a sofa bed, but the set up was not really functional for 2 singles traveling together. The “sofa bed” is really a couch, not as wide as even a twin bed and did not open up. There were no linens for it. We were told there would be an additional fee to have the host come and set up the “bed” once we were in the unit. It would also have been helpful to have more specific information about parking options and accessibility prior to arrival. The host was responsive to messages, but language differences resulted in curt communication.

This apartment was located in the old town in a building full of character and a view of the canal. We would highly recommend this apartment for its location and its value for money. The really helpful host has provided lots of information on both the apartment and the area in general but it is in French so just be aware of this if your French is limited. It is really well equipped and we loved the fact that the market was held a few times a week just outside the door.

Very little really but it would have been nice to have some English language TV stations.
