Great centrally location place in Girdwood. Nothing fancy, but has all the needed amenities for a large group who like simple accommodations.

Excellent experience. Communication was as easy as could be. Direct phone number and answered immediately. House was clean and had all necessities you could need. Close walk to ski lifts and beautiful views. First time to Alaska and the home was a huge impression! Thanks a bunch!

We hosted our bridal party at the Asian Motif Lodge for our wedding weekend. It was a perfect location and fit all of us very comfortably. The deck was large and the perfect place for dinner in the sunshine!! Thank you!!

The house was spacious and cozy. Great for family togetherness. The house is conveniently located in between the resort and town. The only draw back was the TV. It was not big enough and in an area that was not viewable for everyone to enjoy football and movie night. Mrs. Shomen is a wonderful host and made sure I knew how to reach out to her personally if needed. This was the Cherry on my family vacation 🥰

My family wanted to do something around Christmastime together, so we rented the house to stay together with our children. We live in Alaska & are familiar with the area, and were pleasantly surprised at the central location. The house was clean, well stocked, had plenty of beds & all we needed! Shoman was SO kind & helpful.

We loved the rental, it was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The location and views were great. Communication with the owner was very easy, she was always easy to reach and very accommodating.

We had 8 people in our party; most were from California and are accustomed to upscale lodging when traveling. This home fit the bill, in that it was decorated well and appointed with things for comfort - stocked kitchen with coffee maker, dishwasher, tea service, etc. We also very much appreciated the ability to do laundry (as it was the end of our trip). The location can’t be beat; walking distance to restaurants and the bike path. The owner was very communicative and clearly invested in hospitality. Self check-in was quick and easy, and our deposit was refunded promptly after our departure. We will stay here again when we’re next in Girdwood.

We were in Girdwood for our sons wedding. We had 10 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby. The house was great. The downstairs is not as nice as the upstairs but turned out to be the coolest and quietest rooms in the house. Loved that each regular bedroom has its own bathroom. The 5th bedroom is more of a sleeping space consisting of a mattress on a platform with sliding doors. No closet. Perfect for older kids but was a surprise to us. Kitchen needs a few more mixing bowls but we made do.... salad in a pot works just as well as salad in a bowl!! We were happy with our stay and appreciated Shoman’s hospitality and professionalism. Cleaning deposit was refunded within a few days of our return.

I always wonder when people give a full 5 out of 5 but this place deserves 6 out of 5!! The owner was amazing, easy and quick communication. Very accommodating. The only thing I didn't realize is that the house is 3 stories. Our large party meant we rented every room and bed available, and it was perfect! I am not complaining about the three levels, was just something I hadn't realized from photos and descriptions. Photos show what the house truly looks like with the exception of living room couches are different. Comfortable bed, house, deck, everything was perfect! Kitchen fully stocked! We brought our own coffee but forgot to grind it, that's okay, they had a grinder! Bathrooms every level and tons of hot water for all 10 of us to shower! Steam room/shower was AMAZING! I really hope we have a large family event again so we can go back and stay in this amazing lodge. Highly recommend this location if you have a large group and are looking for a place that is comfortable and very much "home". My only recommendation is that night lights would be appreciated. Being of that age (and having kids) getting up to potty some of the halls/rooms were really dark. We personally had one of the rooms that didn't have its own bathroom, but again it wasn't far to the one near us, just dark in the fall at night in AK. :) Love this house! Love this location! Worth every penny!
