The room was clean, the chef went over and above as I requested for grilled tomato of which he arranged and brought out to me.

Great staff, especially Trent and his passion for mixing cocktails. Great variations on old favourites - his own rosemary syrup in a G&T is a great example. His monthly cocktail was a hit with my friend,

Breakfast buffet was a bit crowded if you arrived after the soccer team that was staying there at the time. Not really a big issue though as food was replenished quickly.

Good location in Sandton, easy walking to plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Shuttle service to the nearby Sandton shopping centre / Nelson Mandela Square. All staff very friendly and helpful. Reasonable value airport shuttle organised through the front desk. Breakfast was good with plenty of hot and cold options.

Our family room was comfortable and reasonably spacious but just a little bit tired in terms of decor. It wouldn't stop us staying here again.

The ambiance was top tier. The breakfast menu was a delight, it was an eye catching elan that was palatable.

They didn’t have heated pools, I enjoy swimming in winter.

Clean, convenient, well kept ,rooms are very nice and comfortable generally.

Can be noisy at times on ground floor closer to the reception area. On this trip communication about construction/redoing of rooms where I was staying was poor and non existent. I was the only guest on that floor and after I said something I was moved to a different room near the reception area.

Nothing exciting

Just old layout and rooms. The room location was very noisy. As some guests checked in 1.00 am. at night. Talking and laughing too loud, which could disturb the sleep of entire guests in the hotel. Even when they were passing through the floor area. Even morning music started at 6.00 am. from.breakfast room, which could be heard in my room and was very disturbing sleep.

Buffet, staff friendliness

1. Walk outside in cold and drizzling weather from reception to the room and back or from the room to breakfast and back. This includes going to the car park and back. 2. Embarrassment when the staff could not verify my Prokard yet it is still valid. It took long for them to give us thumbs up for breakfast.
