I loved my stay at Mango Valley. The terraced garden is a beautiful place to sit and watch the birds and insects. When I was there the extraordinary Montezuma birds - with bright yellow tails - provided hours of entertainment. I had a cabin with a balcony - wonderful spot to watch hummingbirds buzz around and enjoy a cup of local coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is huge and delicious with fresh fruits and eggs cooked to order. Cabins have a basic, but well-equipped kitchen and, although small, are very clean and comfortable.

This isn't a negative, but if you don't have a car you may like to bring some groceries tea/ coffee for the first day or too. I didn't take the bus into Grecia - but it goes every hour from end of street most days (I think tow on Sunday). The nearest supermarket is down the hill in Carbonal - maybe 3kms - a steep walk back up if it is hot

this place is a little piece of heaven in the central valley area of Costa Rica ! the location is perfect as it’s only 45mins drive from the airport . volcán poas is 1hr drive . the local town Grecia is a good place to spend the afternoon visiting the cathedral and wondering around the local market . the best thing about the hotel are the spectacular views of the beautiful valley, mountains and the volcano. you wake up to the sound of hummingbirds every morning. the cabins are spacious , the bed is super comfy and the shower powerful and hot. the owner Jose luis is a wonderful host that will go above and beyond for their guests . we had a very early departure ( 5 30 am) and so we wouldn’t miss breakfast he delivered to us the night before a tray with juice/fruit/pasties etc.. we can’t wait to come back!!!

Javier was extremely friendly and gave us tons of tips for our vacation. The nature around the hotel is breathtaking and our room was clean and contained everything we could need. From the patio we had an amazing view.

Amazing stay, great staff, wonderful views. Little gem. There is a little restaurant 500 meters away with an exceptional food.

Amazing pool area and garden. Little heaven!!!

Nice and spacious rooms, great view from the property, which also has a fantastic garden. Humming birds are all over the place and the pool is also spectacular. Javier, the manager is very kind and helpful.

Breakfast was excellent. Javier was very friendly, gracious and supportive in providing a wealth of information. Nuria was a wonderful housekeeper and took care of our room daily. Excellent location, views and Hotel, set in the hills overlooking the Valley of Grecia. We would highly recommend staying here.

The pool was beautiful but a little fresh. Some Guests were rude which was totally uncalled for.

Nice independent lodges in good grounds with great views. Parking was right outside the accommodation. The accommodation was spacious and contained a small kitchen and good shower. WiFi reception in the room was very good.

We love Mango Valley. A true gem in beautiful surroundings, peaceful, plenty of birds to watch, lovely pool area . The management will do anything for their guests. Just so peaceful. After having stayed in many hotels in the area Mango Vally remains number 1 on our list. One does need transport to get there.

It was really lovely, so many birds & butterflies just outside the deck. Lots of bird chatter which we loved. The property was very tidy & gardens manicured. Breakfasts were delicious, fresh & nutritious. Javier even went above & beyond to provide our last breakfast with some delicious bacon. Great stay

Just about 5 minutes further up than I would like to drive.

The property is absolutely beautiful! Javier was a wonderful host he helped us order food and find A really good excursion to do with a professional guide! Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit and eggs! Me and my sister felt very comfortable and welcomed here!

Nothing negative to say about the property besides that you will just need a car to get around because of the distance it is but it is in a remote area beautiful private so expected this!
