Great house for a big group, lots of rooms on three floors, quiet neighborhood. Very clean and spacious. Kitchen has great appliances and well equipped, except only a Keurig coffee maker, we missed having a coffee filter. We had lots of fun and were very comfortable.

We wanted this property as it has a ground floor bedroom and bathroom for my 92 year old mother in law. This house had everything we needed. It is in a very quiet area. All we could hear were the birds in the morning! Ceiling fans in the bedrooms were enough to keep us cool during the high 90’s of August. The house is very well laid out with bedrooms on each floor. A notebook would be a good addition for people to be able to write places to eat or buy food in the area. All in all a very good stay

We were a group of Bikers, chase vehicle driven by the ladies, who rode on bikes when they wanted. The location was a great jumping off point to travel the great roads to ride in Vermont. The house was wonderful and felt like we had lived there for a long time. Highly recommend for bikers or anyone who needs a retreat in Vermont.

The house and property were in great shape. The house is in a great location for golfing some of the best courses in VT.

Nice property located a bit off the beaten path in Cavendish VT. Good location for us as we were MTB racing in Ascutney the next morning. Great value for the price. Clean, comfortable beds and fire pit. You are required to bring your own towels but linens were provided. I would stay here again.

Loved the house, spacious and plenty of great amenities. Will definitely use this property for all trips to Ludlow area.

This house was a perfect fit for our family ( 6 adults, 2 littles, 2 older teens ). Clean, bigger than the pictures made it look, quiet, good location, kitchen was well stocked ( plenty of pans, plates, utensils, etc ) the pool table was a nice plus. John was quick to answer any questions we had.

The house is beautiful and spacious, there was plenty of room for the five of us. The kitchen is well equipped, which means a lot for us because we do a lot of cooking. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. Communication with John was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

Home is in a good location, close to amenities. It has charm, however, it is not well looked after which is a shame. The owner is responsive to text messages and calls. He is aware of the issues we experienced through text and photos and apologized for the problems. The fact that he is in NJ and is trying to coordinate cleaners and maintenance from a distance adds to the difficulties. The house has not had a decent thorough cleaning in some time. Upon arrival, we found the refrigerator had grime and blood stains on shelves, we needed to clean the fridge and freezer prior to using. The bathrooms had hair and soap scum in bath and showers. Muddy footprints in one shower area. One bath could not be used due to a faulty stopper, another bath had no plug. Bathmats were unclean, evident by dirt, hair, and perished backing underneath them. We needed to clean the bathrooms. Dirt, dust and months of grime around toilet floor areas. Bedrooms not well appointed, with 3 of 4 having no dressers. Two bedrooms were missing window curtains. These are needed for privacy and eliminating the sunlight, especially with children going to bed prior to sunset and sleeping past sunrise. Old flannel sheets on beds, which are not recommended in July! Dirty socks under master bed, along with months of dust and dirt. Cobwebs on walls, ceilings, and window wells, a number of dead flies in cobwebs and window wells. Spiders in most rooms. Everyone had to wash their feet after 2 hours due to the dirty state of all the floors. We cleaned and vacuumed them. We live in a rural area, similar to this home, however, this home has an ant issue (large black and small sugar ants are everywhere). Crawling into handbags, on luggage, table tops, kitchen!!! We made sure there was never any food left out and that surfaces were washed and sanitized. There were too many small flies to count in the bathroom downstairs. They were all over the sink, shower area, granddaughters toothbrushes. The BBQ grill was not cleaned, old food, grease and dirt on the cooking grates. Very little propane in the tank. The list goes on! Our vacation was to provide some much needed family time for our 2 daughters, 4 granddaughters, my wife and I. We had hoped to stay for the entire time, however, we checked out early due to the unsanitary conditions. Our daughters were upset, and our granddaughters were extremely disappointed that our special family time together was spoiled and ended early.

The owner,John was nice,and,helpful,when we had some issues with getting into the house,and putting on the hot water.The house is very roomy for a big family.I love to cook,and if your like me,I brought my own spices and oils,because,there were only,salt,pepper,and some flour in the kitchen cabinet.I have learned this from experience as a Vrbo renter.I gave the rating for cleanliness as a 3,where upon,the house needed to be dusted,especially, on the ceiling fans,and washer-dryer area.The grill had to be cleaned also,and I took a broom to the cobwebs on the back top deck.There were only 2 garbage cans on the deck,and I had to leave some of my recyclables next to them.We stayed for 10 days,for our vacation.We did like the pool table,but,there was no chalk,and no bridge,to play with.The furnishings were unique, but,the house needs some updating with furniture.All in all,we have many great memories of our stay here!Thankyou,John.

The house was great, more than enough room for my family of 4. Fairly clean upon arrival, there were a couple of empty bottles left around and we did have to re-clean the bathrooms. They weren't super dirty but attention to detail wasnt there. There was a decent amount of ants and bugs in the house, you are in the woods so its to be somewhat expected, but more measures should be taken to better remedy this issue. Overall great place to stay! Would recommend.

Unbelievable property close to everything and we saw moose both days right from the deck and they walked right in front of the house! It was super clean and a great place to stay!!! We went bike riding and went down to okemo and had a blast!

John was a great host, that was easy to contact. The house is in the perfect location with all that you need for a great ski weekend.

A lovely home with all the right amenities and space for a family looking to get to Vermont. We’d come back again that’s for sure.

Peferfect for the weekend

Very nice place, be sure to bring your own towels & shampoo & body wash. Queen size bed up on top floor is very hard. We went there for fall foliage & it didn’t disappoint! Trues around the property are perfect with all colors! House is very new overall. Just be sure you bring your coffee! WiFi is a bit slow.

It was our first ski/snowboarding trip. The house was extremely comfortable and you can tell it is relatively new construction. We enjoyed the pool table and the grill (yes, we grilled with 20 degree weather, it was awesome). If you are visiting Okemo, this is the right place to stay. John was extremely attentive and helpful. After flying to Boston and driving up the Vermont, it was 4am when we got to the house, driving for three hours under snow. Even at that time he was available when we had questions about the directions. The kids were able to play in the snow surrounding the house for hours every night. There are restaurants very close by. And with a little drive you can visit great cheese places, and Harpoon brewery is very close by. We highly recommend this house as the perfect home if you are visiting the area.

This was our first Home Away experience and it was great. The home was warm, clean and roomy. We spend our time cooking, eating, playing games and relaxing. We met for Thanksgiving dinner and there were 6 of us cooking in the kitchen, around the island and at the grill and there was plenty of room. If you are there to cook, bring your favorite kitchen knife and you are ready to go! The pool table was an added plus as were the three bathrooms. We enjoyed being close to town and the owner was responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this home.

The 8 of us had a fantastic stay at the house over President's Day weekend! We arrived on a freezing cold night to a warm, cosy & clean house which was even more spacious in real life that the photos online suggested. The pool table was a great addition. It was very easy to get to and from Okemo mountain for our 3 day of skiing, and overall, a wonderful house which was perfect for our trip!

This house was perfect for a group getaway! Plenty of Space to spread out. The house was clean, updated and comfy for 8 of us. I do think you could easily fit more! Being right near town and Okemo Mountain made for a quick trip back and forth. The owner was easy to work with, friendly, and responded quickly to any questions I had. *Side note- this address does come up on my Iphone, but people with any other Map service had to use a different address.

The house was wonderful. Plenty of room, clean and had everything needed to prepare meals and entertain guests . I would definitely stay there again. Check out the Crows nest bakery and opera house in town for the best home made baked goods and breakfast!!

We loved staying in this rental and felt very comfortable the whole week we were there. Our family, which included five adults and two children, had plenty of room for both sleep and play. The location was secluded and we enjoyed many hours outside in the yard and exploring the surrounding area. The kitchen had every thing we needed to make all of our meals and we ate there for most of them. We found plenty of things to do nearby and wish we had more days to accomplish it all! I had a great stay with my friends last weekend. House was very well kept, super clean, loved the kitchen setup (great for us to hangout in and cook), pool table was used all weekend and we always had hot water! (This is essential when you have a large group who needs showering after a long day on the mountain!) John was very easy to work with, very clear with house instructions, and received my security deposit within days after my departure. The house is located pretty close to town so anything we needed to pick up was just a short drive away and Okemo mountain was less than a 10 minutes drive as well! Highly recommend this house.

Beautiful, well maintained new house. Comfortably fit 4 adults and 4 kids. The pool table is a great touch as it occupied the kids. Less than 10 minutes away from Okemo. The house has a very comfortable feel to it, we decided to order in two of the three nights we were there. Owner is professional and very easy to deal with. Got deposit back within a couple of days. Will definitely stay again.

This home is everything you want when renting a house. It is immaculate and welcoming. The location was perfect for our wedding at Castle Hill and a 5 minute drive to Okemo mountain. The home owner had our deposit ready for return within 24 hours after we left! I highly recommend staying at this property!
