Clean and comfortable

The breakfast was not good. Stale croissants and awful flapjacks

This hotel is a real home away from home; wonderful staff, big, comfortable rooms and convenient location for access to most suburbs

The mini-kitchens would be improved by some basic crockery and cutlery

Their breakfast was good and was being served on time..A few of the staff was professional.

The rest of the staff was rude. Our aircon broke down and we reported on Friday evening and nothing was done to get it repaired and we were not moved to another room either and check the temperatures on those days.Reported it again on Saturday and the guy at the reception was rude he said it can only work if you switched it on , it was like he was implying that l do not know how to use the aircon. He sent a porter who came and also saw that it was not working .A maintenance guy then came to attend to it but to no avail. He tried connecting the old aircon and left it running saying it was going to pick up but nothing happened. Informed reception again and were told it will be repaired on Monday. Literally meaningwe had to endure the cold. On checking in at the hotel we paid half the amount and had US dollars they said they do not accept,so we told them we will change them at themall and then pay the balance. We then asked for a cork screw after 2days and were told by the guy at the reception that we cannot give you since you have not paid the balance, honestly!!!! I have been to hotels in joburg but this one was the worst experience ever!!! They prefer other races and definitely not blacks like me. So l will not recommend that hotel to anyone.

It is bad, the white fig restaurant has terrible management. Got overcharged bill and they said they will refund me but then never heard from them again. Absolutely don’t stay there.

The restaurant white fig overcharged me. I was asking for all receipts but they ignored it and never showed me one of them, one they said it was a mistake and they will refund but they didn’t.

The Old Colonial look

A beautiful room awaiting for us, an executive room is outstanding. Breakfast after 9am is worth it,

Having a microwave in the room,defeats the purpose if no plates or cutlery. Shower offer lukewarm water. Having breakfast between 8 to 9 am, is disappointed as only one waiter struggled when the hotel was fully booked. Receptionist refuse to supply fresh towels as ours was damp as we want to shower at 7am but was told to wait till 8 am

Room was large, with a great view. The duvet was perfect - not too hot nor too cold. Staff were great as always, especially the breakfast crew.

A hard and soft pillow option would have been good. Two soft pillows per person didn't give many options.

Bedroom was comfortable and clean Great bed and linen Nice touches like welcome card and note Kitchen Desk and IT outlets

Dingy passage at remotest part of hotel. Did not feel safe coming in at night as was tucked away and had noisy machinery. It was like staff quarters not paying guest Bathroom needs refurbished...old and outdated. Shower door would not close Cracked tiles on floor and shower wall Dirty marks around shower outlet No shampoo or shower gel Limited choice on TV

They played incredible loud music, could not hear the television in my room the entireSaturdayafternoon. They did not supply the breakfast that I paid for to go like they promised. They did not even have milk, which I wanted to buy.

The rooms are very clean. Good surroundings

We always enjoy staying here - the staff are very pleasant & attentive.

A fantastic breakfast served by some of the most friendly staff I have seen in Cape Town. The restaurant next door had a great menu and excellent service and the bar was well stocked with a very good wine selection.

This was the first time that I wasn't happy with where the room was located. Right at the back in a corner where there seemed to be a lot of people movement. Doors banging etc.

Set in a nice quiet area but so easy to get into Cape Town city and all surrounding areas. Good breakfast and great friendly service by all the Staff. Nice little pool to relax and cool down, lawn area to sit and chill . Great Restaurant just next door What's not to like

Not as well signposted from the road as it could be. Barrier car access bit hit and miss with entry card but Security always quick to open it
