Host is very kind, caring and attentive. Rooms are clean and comfortable. You get more fot the money You pay. Next stay will be definitely planed here if on the way.

The location and the view, friendly staff member. near the lake and Dundaga castle, shop is near and you can visit zoo that is in the same town.

Room was dirty, beds not comfortable. bedsheets, pillows smelled and was humid. the worst part was the big room with no wall just few handrails that kids could fall of 2nd floor, wasn't like a closed room, but balcony with beds and curtains so you don't see the 1st floor. balcony on the outside was not safe. kitchen, toilets and showers in very poor conditions. like a hostel but way worse.

- it was difficult to close a window when it was raining, so we got some wet clothes.

Strategically it is a good place to explore Kolka parish because all the towns in the seaside is only approximately 30 min a way by car from the hotel. Also it was pleasant to sit in the balcony with the view to the beautiful garden. You can spend Your evenings in the big yard near the hotel with a lot of roses, sculptures of the Baltic signs and swing. Rooms were simple but very clean. All our rooms had private bathrooms. The hotel is near the city center so you can explore old town with the beautiful castle on foot. We had a small issue in the kitchen but the owner quickly solved it! The host was very understanding and did not give rooms to other guests close to our rooms so we had private space and we were not disturbing each other!

This hotel is not very suitable for families with the very small children (under three years old) because there is a risk to fell down from the public balcony (big spaces in the handrail of the balcony) or steep stairs in the corridor. So You can't leave Your child alone in the public space even for a moment.
