Lovely view and setting.

A bit disingenuous to call it a hotel, barely a motel as there was only a microwave. No TV. As there was no food in Makarora the owner was kind enough to cater for me as an extra person for her evening meal.

Location and seclusion,nature prevalent.

Noisy fridge,but was offset by room.

No cooking facilities - my fault didnt read info well. A hot plate and pot would have been great as no facilities to buy dinner.

Hosts very friendly and helpful - we didn't get to meet unfortunately but had great communication, very responsive and good tips beforehand. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Fridge and tea + coffee in room were good to have. Wifi was great (there is no cellphone reception in the area). Views were beautiful too. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Very minor point here - shower head was partially blocked - great pressure but patches of the shower head were there was no flow.

Friendly host. Ideal location for our recreational purposes.

Weather

Beautifil setting in peaceful location with mountain views as promised, run by v friendly people. Short native forest nearby, sheep with lambs, tui in the kowhai tree, and an elevated deck to take it all in. Easy to find. Thank you

We were fine overall. Pity the nearby village bar/cafe was inexplicably closed, but that's not the Makarora Accommodation owner's fault, and we had been warned in advance.

Would have loved some more cutlery ..fork ,sharp knife , as it is in a very remote area and arriving late meant you have to have food with you which we did but no forks!! Didnt want to bother hosts...
