Amazing place to visit and amazing location by the lake, with exotic birds roaming around and so much peace and quiet. The rooms are very comfortable and chic, so much love to details and decoration. We really enjoyed our room and the food, in the morning and in the evening. Fully recommend the hotel, I wish we stayed a little bit longer.

- El Rocio is so sandy, it would be very helpful to have a shoe brush or any other cleaning tool before I carry the whole sand on my shoes inside. - Breakfast was good, but a little bit boring when you stay for a couple of days, a bit more variety or a little buffet would be great.

Beautiful characterful property. Very well maintained. Great view over the marshes of the Doñana National Park. Lovely roof top swimming pool. Atmospheric restaurant and staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Insane suite with a view towards the national park. Beautiful interor and exterior of the entire hotel. Brilliant restaurant - special thanks to our waiter who spoke an excellent German, made us smile with many facts and stories about the town and whateverelse.

Price point is quite considerable, but absolutely worth it.

This is an exquisite hotel with very high standards. The pool and sun terrace on the roof were excellent, very comfortable rooms. El Rocio is a very interesting and unusual town to visit; so well worth seeing. The surrounding Donana national park is a gem and the beaches are pristine and quite.

Breakfast was OK / good - but could have been better given the very high standards of this hotel.

The hotel was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were ample and beautiful and perfect for our family. It's not a hotel geared up for small children but they were very willing to help us make it work.

This is actually a gem of a place that deserves a 5 star title. Attention to detail can be seen everywhere and all amenities provided were of 5 star quality. Although expensive, the restaurant was good and the staff were very nice and helpful. Wish we could have stayed a few days more. The bathroom was quite spacious and included a big shower and a bidet. also double sinks.

There was no coffee making facility and the room was a bit small although good enough.

Check out El Rocio first - a Wild West town (no paved roads and many inhabitants riding horses and carriages) on the edge of one of Europe's largest wetland parks. A tour is highly recommended if you love wildlife, especially birds. La Malvasia is beautiful - elegant, smart, chic and at least the 4 stars it claims to be. We wanted a room with a view of the water, so upgraded on the spur of the moment to a suite. Wow! Possibly the best room we've ever stayed in. Luxurious but not too lavish. Superb (very large) bed and a bathroom we could easily have taken home! Lovely design and a smart layout. Very good breakfast. Also ate lunch there the next day and it was excellent. Octopus cooked to perfection. A real treat. Anniversary or wedding coming up? This is a special place, aided by its unique location. Read less

A longer stay!

El Rocio is a unique place, not just for birdwatchers, but also culturally. This is apparently the town's top address...(and the only hotel in the 4star category) Tasteful interior and room design, go for the higher room category though if you prefer a little extra space.. Great restaurant, friendly staff. Went on a birdwatching tour early in the morning and staff still managed a full breakfast for me an hour before opening (Thanks!)
