Breakfast was amazing. Both owners are fantastic if you like to have close interactions with them. Very “Bed and Breakfast” style. It is not a super fancy place to stay but if you like “home style” accommodation, the place is for you.

Nothing in particular apart the parking that is a bit tight…

The location and surroundings (orange fields) are absolutely gorgeous, breakfast was delicious and the hosts accommodating and very helpful, we had a wonderful time!

Besides the perfect setting and the absolutely wonderful atmosphere of the place. We were wholly blown away by the pleasantness of our host Geraldine and her husband. They were kind, funny, and had a great energy about them. Geraldine offers witty banter from the getgo which is hard to find nowadays. The rooms were splendid with a moderate temperature and a inviting decor. Would definitely recommend for others.

We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful location, tastefully decorated rooms and a lovely host who only adds to the experience. We will hopefully be back.

Wonderful hospitality, so much character and charm. The owners go the extra mile on everything and really added colour and fun to our stay. A beautiful rustic setting and an exceptionally good breakfast

It was all great. The only suggestion would be to seal off the bathroom in the standalone cottage (currently a wall divider is used). But otherwise we loved the cottage.

The property has a beautiful kept garden which was lovely to eat breakfast in each morning. Tucked away just off the main road into the main town. Literally only a 5min drive which was lovely. Geraldine was a fantastic host who really went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Shes a wonderful character! Very peaceful stay here. Would highly recommend! Thank you to all the staff :)

If we had to choose one thing. The taxis can be difficult to get after 1:30am so if you’re planning a late night make sure to plan ahead for a ride. But most places shut by 12:30 - 1am so its not much bother.

We loved the host... Good humor ..... Intelligent. Good wit.... A pleasure to talk with her during breakfast ..... And the BREAKFAST!!!! Out of this world!!!! And freshly squeezed orange juice..... Hard to find these days... even in Spain or Portugal.....

I loved everything

Beautiful farm house set in an orchard with a lovely pool and spacious rooms. It’s easy to get to the town and parking is never a problem. Your hosts are wonderful and serve a scrumptious breakfast. Thanks to Robin, there is an excellent espresso machine.

beautiful little hotel with a great swimming pool, many chill out areas and an overall relaxed atmosphere. every room is perfectly clean. amazing breakfast with plenty of fruits, egg variations and sweets. Geraldine is a wonderful and very humorous host! her tips on restaurants, beaches and activities were on point. quiet surroundings while very close to Tavira. we liked it so much that we stayed longer than planned.

A jewel away from tourism. Furnished with great attention to detail. A wonderful garden, clean pool and the best breakfast ever. The hosts, Geraldine and Robin, have been running Casa Vale del Rei with their English charm since 2002. We will definitely be back. Absolutely recommendable.

Nothing to mention. The single bed in our room may need a new mattress but everything was fine.

The breakfast was fantastic with a great variety of fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, pastries, eggs cooked however you'd like them and cold meats and cheese. Geraldine and her husband Robin are great hosts; friendly with great tips on where to visit or which restaurants to try. The setting is stunning; a perfect combination of tranquility, beautiful views and proximity (5 minutes to Tavira and less than 10 to beaches). The house and gardens are very pretty with oodles or charm and character. Simple but comfortable rooms. There is a guest kitchen to make picnics or simple dinners if you want to stay in at night, which was a great asset. Treat this as a B & B with pool and gardens and you'll be happy, The service is fabulous but limited so don't expect room service or cocktails by the pool (unless you make them yourself!). You'll need a car to explore the area but taxis (and Uber) are plentiful and cheap to Tavira and the beaches.

Wi-fi only seemed to work in the lounge and kitchen areas, not in our room or by the pool. One of the pool loungers was broken, but there were plenty of others.

Don't really know how to start explaining the magical time we spent there. We stayed in this hotel, due to an overbooking of another hotel we had booked in - and we are so happy about this nice coincidence, we discovered a piece of heaven. I can only say that this place is made with passion, beautifulness and real love of hospitality. The couple/owners were one of a kind and the hotel is like them ! Profoundly suggest to stay there if you are in Tavira.

One of the best B&B we did so far! Geraldine and her husband were amazing hosts! Friendly and always there to share some tips. Because of them our trip to the Algarve was even better than expected. We’re definitely coming back :).

This place is so beautiful and charming, it’s really very peaceful. The hosts are amazing! Location is great: We got around with Uber, and it was around €5 to get into town, around €30-35 from faro airport. Breakfasts were a highlight - delicious!
