We love this hotel. We stayed here 15 years ago, and while some of the decor has changed a bit, the key essence of being a throwback to olden days has not changed and it makes this hotel interesting and a very enjoyable setting. Sitting out on the restaurant patio area you have a lovely view of Wurzburg and key landmarks. The service from all the staff, and especially the restaurant staff was first class. Despite being fully booked, the staff were able to find us a table for dinner, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable, and the updated bathrooms are excellent.

My plane was late and I arrived after midnight. The hotel was closed and I entered to the back door, but nobody at the reception desk. Therefore I had to stay the first night in the lobby. Very uncomfortable.

Breakfast buffet was a real mess. Many of items like bread, egg, bacon and jam was not available for very long time. Not sufficient staff for serving so many guests and they were busy and tired and could not cape the demand. small buffet room where the guests had to wait and struggle to get the few available items. that was really unacceptable for a 3 stars hotel and a payment of over 170 euros for 1 night. very tight and limited parking and no availability guaranty at night despite extra payment.

We spent an amazing weekend at this fine establishment. The food, the service, the views, the wine were all impeccable. I would say their Rinder Filet was the best steak we have had in Germany... maybe anywhere. The staff was professional, courteous, helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They all spoke excellent English, as well. This is a special place. And the location cannot be beat.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The personnel was friendly and ready to help. There was an onsite restaurant which was very useful after a long drive. The view from the terrace was lovely.

The parking was a bit challenging being on a hill.

BBQ was not very exiting......Other guests where placed to far apart,their conversation was just to loud,really disturbing .... at the salad buffet a lot of small flies...

We had supper at the hotel and the meal and services was excellent

Wonderful view from the balcony of the room. To the city centre it is a very nice walk of one hour. Wifi was free, but not a good velocity. Rooms clean, staff friendly. Due to the corona lockdown everything else was closed and cannot be evaluated. Breakfast in the room was exactly on time and delicious. Thank you!
