The view is fantastic. The lake view from the room is breathtaking. The room was clean and comfortable. The surrounding scenery is great for taking walks. The nighttime fireworks display is quite impressive. The rooftop open-air hot spring is of excellent quality.
The staff at the breakfast buffet were friendly and provided good service, but the staff at the lobby who assisted with check-in and check-out seemed unfriendly. Since I am a foreigner, it can be difficult to understand everything at once, but they would often frown for no apparent reason. Considering it’s a hotel in a higher price range, if the service at the lobby is like this, I can’t help but think there is a problem.

Staff were friendly, food was good and the views are stunning.
I suffered a mistake from the hotel with my booking, which meant that I did not get the room I had reserved. They offered me a bottle of sake and a larger alternative room instead of the one I booked + a private Onsen. This helped offset my issue, however I did not receive the sake I was promised and the private Onsen was scalding hot (it was unusably hot)! Dangerously hot. The main 'public' Onsen was in poor maintenance for a hotel of this price point.

The hotel room we stayed in has a balcony view of Lake Toya, which was very beautiful. Breakfast and dinner buffet was excellent. The staff service are also great, and they even prepare a nice photo of me and my wife in a photoframe, which was heartwarming.

Amazing resort, views of the lake was amazing, the food at the dinner and breakfast buffets had a good selection of food.
Not much to complain about

Very unprofessional staff, our car are NOT ALLOWED to park at the hotel building where there are 75% available lots when we arrived. Was told to park 400m away, and they didnt even help us to unload our luggage, just chased our car away. We have to insist that we need to stop the car and unload our luggage. Such a TERRIBLE service.
Train the staff to treat every customer with good service attitude

I like the Japanese cuisine, delicious and display very beautiful
Very disappointed about French cuisine, taste not good and service very rushed. Recommend wine didn’t match the food. I don’t enjoy this dinner at all.

Some pros:
- The property is located at the edge of the of shore and offers fantastic views of Lake Toya (all rooms are facing the lake)
- The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to/from JR Sapporo Station, or you may wish to take their shuttle to/from New Chitose Airport for 1000 yen. The shuttle must be booked in advance
- The check-in/check-out experiences went very smoothly and although the staff are not 100% fluent in English, they tried their best to accommodate (please remember English is likely not their first language). My friend was seated in the lounge area while I checked in and a staff brought over a welcome drink and snack for us to enjoy
- We booked a twin room with shower, and it was very spacious and clean. There was a seating area by the window with a chaise
- The property had three onsens - two on the 9th floor and one on the 2nd floor. The onsens on the 9th floor includes an open-air bath with different designs and views; they are switched every day between genders so even if you stay one night, you will be able to try them both. The best time to go would be during the peak mealtimes or later in the evening
- The breakfast and dinner buffets were great and had a lot of variety. The restaurant offers floor-to-ceiling windows.
- We paid an extra 55,000 yen per person for a kaiseki dinner the second night and it was amazing. The food was delicious, and you get to try some local and seasonal ingredients in a different way
- While there are no vending machines on the property, you can pick up snacks and beverages in the gift shop, or the 7-Eleven across the street. There are also a few grocery stores in the area
- There is a path in between the shore and the hotel that connects all the resorts in the area. There are outdoor foot baths for anyone staying in the area
Some cons:
- The wi-fi was spotty. I don't think the network was designed to support all of the guests being connected at once. It was better during the day when guests were out on excursions or have checked out.
- The description of the shuttle pick-up point at JR Sapporo station was vague. It would be great if they have a designated kiosk or corner for guests to meet-up prior to boarding the bus.
- It does not seem like they rotate the breakfast menus daily (there may be slight variations, but it is largely the same).

Spacious room, lake view, modern, clean, beautiful decor, good breakfast/dinner buffet.
We didn't have a choice over the assigned dinner reservation time.

The dinner was amazing as expected. We were able to taste so many different dishes from the buffet. There was japanes, chinese and a western option and all of them where amazing even a small sweets area including toys and books for the children. The onsen had an amazing view on the lake including the nightly firework. There is even a special section of the hotel for people with dogs and a dining room for those people with dogs. I have never seen that really amazing.
Its really hard to tell since we had such a good stay there and they take great care of the hotel and the property. But here and there are some signs of tear. Its not the newest hotel and they are renewing a part of the hotel right now and I know they will renew the rest too. Overall not to bad it is time to renew and please wifi. Its 2022 secure, good quality wifi is needed everywhere.

Best onsen ever, with a range of spacious indoor pools and a large open air one on the rooftop all affording fantastic views over the Toya-ko and, if you're lucky weather-wise, Yotei-zan. Rooms are large and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast and dinner both have a range of choices. There's a shuttle bus to and from New Chitose Airport, and good connections to Sapporo. Because we were there in winter, a lot of the sites in Shikotsu-Toya National Park were closed - the cable car up Mount Usu, for example - but we knew about this in advance and were happy to simply enjoy relaxing in the hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location with beautiful lakeside views. Guests can watch the fireworks show from the room. Breakfast and dinner has a wide selection.

Stayed four nights with dinner and breakfast. The setting is fantastic, right on the lake. Floor to ceiling windows in the room and throughout the hotel. Wonderful large bath, including nice outdoor one on the roof. Really nice hotel onsen. Fireworks every night right in front of the hotel. Food was very good. Even though a buffet, several dishes were excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lake Toya is a wonderful place to get away and relax. Will definitely return!
The town is not so exciting, for example, not many interesting shops or things to see on a walk through the town. But that is not the fault of the hotel.

My wife and I have traveled all over Japan in our 6 years living here and this is the nicest place that we have stayed. The room was large and clean with a floor-to-ceiling window that looked over the Lake Toya (Toyako) and right at Mt. Yotei. The onsen was on to top floor with both a large indoor and outdoor bath that also overlooked the lake and the mountain. The meal was a buffet but with multiple chef stations for individually prepared dishes. On top of all of this the price was exceptional.
Not a single thing.

The rooftop Onsen is awesome, although not as big as daiichi takemotokan. The view is astonishing. The buffet is good with a good selection of dishes, including my favourite Chinese.
Sound isolation, please! I stayed there for Christmas just by myself, hoping to have a nice and cozy Christmas holiday. However I was not aware it's a special day for couples. Due to poor sound isolation, I could hear (you know what kind of sound) from the other rooms at almost any time of the day. Even at 5am! I was sleep deprived and emotionally traumatized : (
