The view from the balcony and windows were lovely. Lots of hot water in the shower. Off the tourist track. Clean towels and bedding. Wifi. 10 minute walk from Zia. Easily accessible to the whole Island by car.

Unfortunately, there was very little attention to detail or comfort. The house has been renovated but felt unfinished for comfort or aesthetics. The house is in an abandoned village with ruins and rubble. This was not a problem, but care had not been taken to make any outside space accessible or comfortable (there was a table and chairs outside the house but with no shade). There were old, broken loungers but nowhere to put them, no accessible garden, the barbecue was unusable and rusty, amongst rubbish, including a broken TV. The shower soaked to entire the bathroom downstairs, as the attachment has been put on sideways, the basin in the upstairs toilet leaked over the floor. The stairs were very sharp so you needed to wear shoes (they ideally need smoothing down). All the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, with no suitable storage space for clothes (the wardrobe and drawers were not very clean inside). I don't think the property would be suitable for children or for two couples as it currently stands. The living room was not functional. It was very dark (there was lighting) and the sofa and chairs are extremely uncomfortable. The small kitchen outside the bedrooms had equipment but no space to prepare food, so we ate out every day. There were non-matching cups and glasses, and cutlery. Matching crockery would have been great! The balcony is beautiful but would benefit from some comfortable, matching furniture seating and table, and some attention to detail. The many local cockerels will crow before dawn. We were woken daily at about 4.30am. We got used to it but we were tired. I am sorry to complain about this property. It could be very beautiful with more attention to detail but definitely needs some TLC.
