Beddings were dirty and tattered

The room had rain coming in and was dirty

the ambiance was quite pleasant and the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. I especially like the pool and the gentleman there was very welcoming. Wifi was on and off but it was sufficient. ALso the decor was well thought out.

I was especially disappointed by the food. there wasn't as much variety and the food was cooked with very poor quality oil that went solid the moment the food went even slightly cold, The drinking options were very few I asked for available cocktails and they only had one kind (Mojito) which they served in the tiniest glasses and was very watered down. they had no wine options and I couldn't even get a simple gin and tonic. I also hoped that there would be options for dessert but I never got any even once. I was hoping for at least a slice of cake since I had come as an early birthday gift (I'm turning 40). Honestly next time it will make more sense to just pay for the room and leave the hotel to go eat a fellow guest I met felt the same way.

booked room type was "Executive Suit" #207 - must be a joke, living room to share with 206, no private space besides bedroom, AC not working in "living room", balcony accessible for others, no running water in bathtub, bathroom moldy - no Executive Suite, no value for money at all; almost fraud - credit card terminal didn't work, reception asked me to bank transfer the room cost upon arrival but charged my credit card too later that week; I paid twice and now I am chasing the hotel to reimburse the excess payment - this is fraud - when my Kenyan fiancée checked in she was treated very disrespectful - internet very slow - cockroach in bathroom - lots of technical issues, unsafe electrical installations, complete power failures several times - not all the time hot water, very poor water quality - very little sun protection at pool, only one umbrella but full of bird poo - limited F&B variety - i.e. only one kind of ice cream - very small TV with very few channels - safe in wardrobe not secured; didn't work at times, sitting loose in wardrobe to be carried away - loose wood splinter in bedroom floor - careless maintenance; decoration in poor condition - beach very dirty and in poor condition - hotel owes water scooters but offers no beach activities - no late check out granted despite low occupancy
